      HSBC online is dreadful. I tried to sign up for a transaction account (twice) through my online portal as an existing Credit Card customer.

      Received a application reference number at the end of process and never heard from them again. Called them directly an offered my application reference number and they still had no record of me. 0/10 would not recommend.

    Any idea how they compare to the old citibank visa debit (fees, rates, etc)? I prefer visa's coverage compared to master card.

    Not applying for a credit card, its a debit card, wtf they ask for employment details and other irrelevant questions? So stupid.

    Looks good but checked the terms and conditions. The offer is valid only till 30th Aug 2017, www.hoyts.com.au/wednesdays
    Not worth in that case.

      Phoned them on Tuesday. The operator had no knowledge of this promo. I had to send her the link. She then put me on hold 3 times before saying she'll need to call me back. Didn't hear anything so called them back again today. She said you need to be a Hoyts member and it should be emailed within 10 days if you are. But I don't remember them asking for my Hoyts rewards number in the app?

    Applied. Got my sms pin. Got my card and letter.

    A week later I get a "we are processing your application, here is your reference xode"

    Enter the code and it still says processing

    Went into a HSBC bank today to clarify some information including details about the $50 gift card.

    The lady there seemed to have no idea about the gift card at all, she tried to call their head office and even they were pretty clueless. She then proceeded to tell me maybe the giftcard was part of a lucky draw???

    Not looking too good at all…

        However,they didn't know this. Nor should it matter.

        Last week they told me it would take 10 days from opening the account.

    Just need to go back and check what the t and cs are as I might keep it open if it's fee free.

    These Wednesday deals might come in handy if I keep the card open

    But Optus perks might be the way to go
