I ended up Getting 1/2 Price 1st Month ( $69.95 ) then got free line rental for the 1st month also ( $19)

Then i ended up getting the Next month Free ( $69.95) and got 1/2 price line Rental ($19)

Then every 6 months i get Free Internet Use

    All up i had $35 + 19 + $9.50 = $63.50 in discounts during the setup process

  • Upload is counted by Optus on all new plans now. And their service and plans really do not represent good value. So I would not recommend Optus if you are signing up for new plans.

    • I second that motion.

Broadband choice should be the first port of call before choosing an ISP.

You just can't trust any ISPs these days.

  • I used to recommend optus to everyone, I probably made more sales to them than their own sales team.

Not anymore. They are looking more and more like telstra by the day.

As other people have said, they had great cable deals, but not any more.

You also have to watch the fine print now, as they are as shifty as telstra with their excess charges on some plans.

Once a great consumer friendly telco, now a telstra wannabee…
