  • Thats the price they are selling the old one at our local store. Are you sure they didn't get them mixed up?

    • Old generation iPod 32Gb was $287 at BigW (both at my local store and online). This is definately 4th gen and the correct price.

      • http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Mul… too bad officeworks is still high, $387 for the old third gen

Get it pricebeaten at Officeworks with Web Online Support! They'll supply you with a quote, same day delivery by courier, free delivery since the iPod Touch is over $55, only downside is they charge a $4.95 handling fee, but still after the 5% pricebeat, you get free delivery + 10 bucks approximately cheaper than the BigW sale!
Do Web Online Support pricematching because they are MUCH easier to deal with than your local Officeworks retail store, with the damn stingy managers refusing to offer their pricebeat guarantee, finding ANY possible reason to worm their way out!

      • strange. Our local store had it for $358. I remember because it was more expensive than the web store which had it sold out. I thought all bigws priced the same. I guess not.

  • No use for price matching because it doesn't say 4th Gen on the receipt.

    • The generation is not mentioned anywhere on the box, so the receipt would not have it either.

      • They really should have put the model number (MC???X/A) at least. Oh well, at least there is an item number to verify…

    • It's on the website for $358, so just print that. hhttp://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/i-pods/i-pod-touch

    • +1

You paid $268 for 8GB ipod touch? Crazy! They're $184 at Big W and OW

      • I'm pretty sure Danielj would have purchased the 4th gen model. At least I hope so :-) $184 is for the outgoing model.

        • +1

I thought it was clear considering the post is about 4th generation of iPod touch.
Yes I got the recently released version.
Unlike the 3rd gen. It comes with 8GB model too.
          I couldn't justify the extra $90 cause I don't have much contents

  • doh ;P paid full apple price.

might go see if they'd partial refund hehe. they do have a 14day satisfaction guarranty right? i'll just threaten with full refund if not hehe.

    • Cheapass =\

"Cheap ass" …..Says the person on Ozbargain website :)

You can easily get the iPod Touch 4 32gb for $339 if you know how. Just google it and you'll find it.

    • imported? maybe you could post it. our family could do with another new touch hehe

      • -1

Not imported. You buy directly from Apple Australia through their online system. Free shipping too. I can't post the link, otherwise they may change the address and I won't be able to use it anymore.

        • Its not a page that yu can just find right? :S been googling for atleast 1/2 hr now. i foundnothing

        • Usually people who post a great price provide evidence. 'Just google it' doesn't give any indication it actually exists. Perhaps you could provide the keywords required to make the $339 price appear? That won't change their link or invalidate the offer. Is the $339 price a student or education discount at Apple's store?

  • +3

By the way, iPod Touch 4 64gb sells for $448.80 (that is 10% discount of rrp).

    • oh dear, @shawn_low and shawn_low
i work for another retailer, damn i paid more thant $448.80 as awangsap007 said.

where did you get that price awangsap007?

      • From apple australia online store.

      • From the Apple store, but he/she won't tell anyone how to get the discount. If one person can get the discount and doesn't tell anyone else how to get it, does it really belong on OzBargain? Screenshots of the price are all very nice, but that still doesn't tell people how to access the cheaper price. awangsap007 has refused to share the URL or code required to achieve the discount.

    • As mentioned a little earlier, where did you get your price? I can claim a 4th gen 32Gb iPod Touch is $299, and then tell you to 'just google it', and merrily watch you search for an hour.

      • I wish I could attach my screen shot. But this thing won't let me.

      • Do you want me to email you the screen shot of the page? Provide me your email address.

        • ok well, I've sent private message much thanks.

          • -1

            @mellosweep: Ok, I'll give you the link to 5% discount. It's http://store.apple.com.au/epp/eyalumni/
I google this address, and it didn't take me more than 2 minutes to find it.
Sorry, but I keep the 10% discount to myself as I can make money out of it :)

            • @awangsap007: I found the 10% link ;)

            • @awangsap007: Damn if I were to see this yesterday I would have ordered from Apple's website. But that only saves me $1.7 and I have to wait for a week to get the iTouch.

            • -1

@awangsap007: "confirm that you are an employee, retiree or contractor of the participating corporation to which Apple has offered this benefit"

'Just googling it' only works if you know what to look for. Stick a corporation's name on the end of http://store.apple.com.au/epp/ and you get 5% in many cases. pwc, mcdonalds, myob, accenture, worklifenab all work.

            • +1

@awangsap007: So you have to lie and risk a please provide proof letter to get a 5% discount. Might as well just buy from Big W or price match elsewhere. I assume your 10% claim is some other similar program where you can only get the discount by being dishonest (if you don't qualify).

              • -1

@petestrash: Sorry if I am being dishonest. I guess you are a very honest person.

  • got that from HN for $357 today. They only beat the price by $1. :(
