      I think any laptop vs rocks/ground will generally fail.
      :)

      regarding BTC etc it was pointless many years ago to mine on any home computer, worse this is a laptop why would u burn it into the ground mining. Basically need ASICs now.

      Maybe if u had solar panels it might be worth it coz the feed in tariff is worthless.

      But better off saving your money and making or buying a dedicated rig as you would get more bang for buck

    Obligatory caveat for all high-end gaming laptops:

    A more powerful gaming desktop PLUS a more portable laptop (thinner, lighter, more battery life, etc) can be had for a thousand bucks less than this.

    Gaming laptops are a good choice for wealthy people who travel a lot and need to game away from home, not a sensible option otherwise.

    This would need some pretty good laptop cooling bad wouldn't it?
    I used to hate how hot mine used to get and wasn't even half as good as this.
