The Netflix unblocking only works on desktop but has been working without issue for me.

Note: getflix doesn't remove geoblock for Netflix

    • +1

It does for me. You need to manually enable it and it only works on Desktop. I believe it may cause issues once in awhile if netflix catches up to their IP addresses but it seems like they just get more as they need them.

Only works on desktop? Who the hell uses Netflix on desktop these days?

        • +1

Only me apparently :p It sits off to the side while I do other things.

        • You can download Netflix shows to watch when offline via the Windows 10 Netflix App. It works really well. Great for travelling, camping etc.

Question to you breadz, can you use Getflix to change regions on Windows 10 and then download shows from the US and UK?

I've got the Getflix lifetime deal, so I don't really care when they do or don't work. But Netflix US works for me for all devices Android (Phone + Tablet + Chromecast), iOS (iPhone + Tablet), PC (Browser + Windows 10 app), TV, BluRay. I also use it for Sky Sports and BBC Sport so that I can watch some of the overseas highlights and things like that. Though for those I have to have them on selectively because they like most new stuff here use the same media services. So having it on breaks new and video sites here more often than not.

    So what's the point now?

      To torrent

      • Iinet here, so still in the 'will never pass on a notice' camp.

        For now…
        (stupid TPG)

        • Don't want to test it though as things could change. I got the Getflix 30 years subscription offer for netflix initially but am on vivid and it slow it down badly. Use getflix servers for torrents and it works a treat.

        • @Icecold5000:

Wait, so it slows it down or works a treat…?

        • @Spackbace:

Netflix is really slow but to vivid being wireless but getflix vpn enables me to bypass vivids torrent detecting so is yugely faster.

    • Hulu

  • Yeh I know they say it only works on pc so I tried on other things and it did start playing up.

Getflix works on our LG smart TV and Mi Boxes for Netflix (I set it manually in each device). Occasionally there is an error but doesn't last long. I got the lifetime membership though.

    • I'm gonna try it on my MiBox now, didn't think it'd be possible until I seen your post - ta!

EDIT: Other than changing DNS, how exactly did you do it?
Because I thought just changing DNS wasn't enough anymore and you had to use a VPN (which Getflix also provide).

I don't want to go down the VPN route as it'll muck up my IPTV.

      • Just change the DNS - that is all. I use the Melbourne one.

I used to always use Getflix and signed up again recently and only noticed AFTER that they can't do Netflix via router anymore… shame :(

    • +2

Yep they are cnts don't tell ya till after.

      • Yeah I was snapping.
I'm like most people and I have literally no use for it other than Netflix!

I got the lifetime getflix deal in 2015 for $35.10

  • I also have the 'lifetime' 30 year deal, and I've noticed it becomes available again every now and then on Stacksocial. So anyone not in a rush may want to wait for that.

  • Not sure if it still works but when I use to have Netflix on my Sony Android tv, i just kept spamming play a few times with the getflix settings and it eventually gets through.

I've unsubbed to Netflix though so havn't bothered using it in the last 1-2 yrs. Use to have it during my free 6 Month promo but I dragged it to 9ish months by changing it to low quality subscription.

  • Is this basically a vpn for Netflix?
So you still gotta pay for Netflix subscription?

    • Basically yes. Technically it's a DNS proxy but close enough. You need both to access international Netflix.
