SGS on 12 months, 59 dollar promotional CAP with 10$ HR on 3 ( 69$/m)+50$ online credit.

110

This is my first post.Sorry if it is a bummer.I got my SGS yesterday on the above T and C.
The three website is strange. It sometimes displays the offer and sometimes does not.
I had to ring three and confirm this before I went and got one.

Happy shopping for those interested in the SGS on a shorter contract.

( It sounds like the website is not properly updated and this offer comes up on a few occasions and it does not come up at other times.
I don't know why.)

I think my story is worth it if it saves all OZbargainers a few dollars.

As I am new to posting deals I am happy to clarify anything.
good luck..

  • Damn. If it wasn't on 3, and if I didn't get onto a new 24 month contract with the iPhone 4 I would of pounced on this offer.

  • I am a bit unclear about when the deal ends. The 650 dollar cap says it ends on the 25th of November.

You should edit the title to something like "Samsung Galaxy S $59 cap(12 month contract)" then just put the details in the description.

Not everyone knows what SGS or HR means, no need to try to put everything in the title.

  • what is $10 hr on 3?

    • $10 handset repayments.

  • The website does show the deal the OP is talking about. http://shop.three.com.au/mobile-details/Samsung-Galaxy-12-mo…

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the cap on this particular deal excludes international calls/sms/mms.

  • When i got my phone yesterday I did not read fine print.I just double checked with the sales person at the three shop and was told all of the 650 $ could be used to make international calls.I was very excited. If it is other wise I will be pretty disappointed. I will pursue this

Is the SGS a TLA for SDX of NHT?
    TIA

    • Sure, why not :p

      • OMG

        [who understood that?!] haha

        • Only on Tuesdays Freddy… LOL

I got the samsung galaxy s on a 12 month contract for $69 cap, + $5 handset repayments, with 3 months free (74 x 3 = $222 saving) and 10% off the rest of the 9 months (66.6 saving) which brings the total cost to $599.4 using the NRMA deal, i think i might also be entitled to the $50 credit, i'm not sure though because i haven't received the bill yet.

    • whats the nrma deal? is it a code, or do you have to be with nrma?

    • Yeah. I would be interested to know about this one as well. Please give more info. It sounds too good. I currently spend $30 a month with TPG which gives me $600 credit to call any other network + 1 GB data. So, thats $360 a year. I was lookibg to buy a prepaid or outright phone for around $200- $250. This Samsung would have been ideal phone but buying it outright is more like $500-$600 so would not have considered it. But based on your deal it seems to good. It would only work out to be $240, which is awesome. It seems to good to be true.

      • basically, it only works with vodafone online and by calling up and if you say you're after the nrma deal, they'll give you 3 months free access fees and 10% off the remaining months in your contract (12 or 24 month contract). i'm not sure what you mean in terms of working out to be $240 the total cost is $599 but you get a ridiculous amount of credit with it. - $650 credit per month + free voda to voda, free voda to 3, 2gb data
i found it as a post on ozbargain not long ago and if i remember correctly, the deal expires end of october.

        good luck :)

        • I can't find the galaxy on vodafone site?

        • Thanks for that.. just picked up one as well! (using the NRMA link posted below).
If I don't like the phone, going to put it up on eBay for a quick buck :P

    • Just had a look and it seems like a great deal to me. I'm not sure about the extra $50 credit though, like you mentioned, because it makes no mention of it. Nevertheless, a great deal IMO.

  • Best Smartphone Available.

    • Them's fightin' words.
Its not bad, but lack of a real physical keyboard rules it out from "best" consideration.

      • Have you tried swype? I'm guessing you haven't because swype is better than any real physical keyboard on a mobile. In fact I'm using it right now whilst on the loo, it makes me wanna fap!

Very debatable Klone, LOL but not here….

  • signed up thanks for the heads up
Signed up using the NRMA link, doesnt ask for membership number or anything. hehehe

  • Can anyone tell me if a three SIM card will work on this phone? Cheers.

    • Contract phones are usually unlocked so u can pop in another sim.
There are the odd exception to this so better check with the supplier to be sure.

BTW… Virgin also has a good deal for those that want the SGS phone too..
$39 x 24 mths "includes" phone payments plus $300 calls + 300mb data PLUS $100 credit for using the code "soul".

  • Excellent,

Thanks for this Holmes. You just saved me from signing up for an iPhone on a 24 Month plan as I didnt even know that Three were getting the Galaxy S. I managed to squeeze $100 credit from them though so that pretty much covers my handset repayments over the 12 months. :)

    • How did you sign up for the promo? I've tried the link but the promo's gone (it was there when I lookd on the weekend) - dammit!
