is there anything special with these phones to make them daydream "compatible"? What about the LG V20??
I'm assuming the Daydream App is only compatible with those listed phones.
some phones will never support day dream because a) they lack enough sensors to detect motion and b) they don't have low persistence display (possibly causing graphical glitches).
as for Galaxy S7 and S7E are technically capable of Daydream, but you need to root them and it ends up voiding your warranty.

Will this headset physically work with my Moto G4+ and allow me to view Google Cardboard 360° photos?
If it's only the Daydream app that isn't supported on the Moto G4 then I'm tempted to get one, it can do Cardboard now and full Daydream when I update my phone.
