    Depends on the rack space you get but there are other competitors out there who are similar in price that use the same Equnix facilities.

    Can't compare apple for apple but there is really no substantial price difference from what I can see..

    Furthermore, there have been other similar providers here on ozbargain that have come and gone (this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/299568 from April 2017) so the guarantee of a "lifetime" of discounts just sounds like an elevated sales pitch to me.

      Our pricing is quite competitive before you take the 20% discount off. Colocation is a race to the bottom and generates the lowest return per RU compared to shared hosting, virtual servers, etc.

      To keep the offer sustainable, we need to ensure that we're offering a good deal to people such as yourself but at the same time aren't losing money (this is a business at the end of the day). Otherwise we'd be placing ourselves in a similar position to that of the company you referenced who've since shut their doors.

      On the note of price though, if you find a better deal for a comparable offering, we're happy to better it within reason.

      Furthermore, there have been other similar providers here on ozbargain that have come and gone so the guarantee of a "lifetime" of discounts just sounds like an elevated sales pitch to me.

      The promotion is valid for as long as you retain the service. We've had similar comments on our previous promotions which took some clarification too. "Lifetime" is used to summarise that the discount carries over on renewal/upgrade/downgrade and doesn't expire unless you cancel the service.

      We don't presently have a test IP or looking glass for our SY4 network as we only moved in (from SY3) 6 months ago.

      I've asked our Engineers to put this together - please allow us a day or two to complete this, then I'll come back to you.
