      ANZ offer is better, 75k Qantas points + 2 lounge passes.

      80k NAB rewards points is only worth 40k Velocity points = $400 instead of $750 with ANZ

        Are you counting the lounge passes towards the $750 value? Because 75k points are only worth $335.

        I am always interested in what others are offered. And sometimes you are eligible for a 'targeted deal' and for one reason or another you did not receive the email, were not advised, or it slipped your memory. There have been many targeted deals posted here and when I have gone to my account(s) I have been eligible for them.

    Got this email a few days back, too good to refuse. 80000 points is just over $400 in gift cards and also free additional card holders. Application went through online with the ID check and approved the next day after emailing proof of income, card is in the mail now.

    If you are worried $2500 is too much to spend in 90 days remember you can always pay bills or similar in advance or early, eg council rates, private health insurance, car registration etc. and/or stock up on some WISH gift cards as well if the 90 days is looming and you are still short.

    I am not knocking the deal, but I read that 1 NAB Rewards point = 0.33 Asia Miles. That is a pretty sad conversion rate!

      That matches what I can find with a search but I can't find a primary source. (Air New Zealand is $0.005 per point, Velocity is 0.5 per point.) Not only that, but their reward points expire.

      One enquiry won't ruin your credit file. My NAB is a throw away account and has less than $500 in it yet they pre-assessed me for $10k.
