My 100th Post :)

I just found a coupon for the 20000mAh version of this power bank and seems like the cheapest it has been :) Perfect for anyone who missed out on the banggood deal and this is cheaper than that. You can save an extra $2 on registration as you are given 200 points for making an account. Brings it down to 19.99USD.

The 10000mAh version is also available for $13.99 Here if you want a lower storage and cheaper price.

I used MasterCard conversion rates to get these AUD amounts.

Price has increased to USD $24.51 so I have expired this price.

Mod 25/7: The powerbank no longer ships to Australia and existing purchases don't appear to have been shipped. Please see comments and contact retailer if your item hasn't shipped.

Also available for a cheap price from TomTop are:

Xiaomi WiFi Amplifier 2 $7.99USD (~$10.20AUD) with XYL8WFAF

Xiaomi Moving-coil In-ear Earphone Optimised for Android $19.99USD (~$25.53AUD) with XYLXM6EP

Remember 7.20% Cashback with Cash Rewards

Enjoy :)

          headphones.

        • @The Monk:

Sure, thanks. Remember ages ago there were heaps of knock offs floating around various sellers for Xiaomi headphones.

In my haste to secure a bargain ( had a quiet boring weekend till now :-), I completely forgot to check on that little fact as nobody on this listing mentioned anything about fakes for the these items listed here today.

Do you think this seller is very safe and reputable in that way???

        • +1

          @ozhunter68:

TBH I am always sceptical of any site which posts well known items with differing descriptions than normal.
Easy rule of thumb is if your spidey sense tingles on something then dont buy.

        • @The Monk:

Yep, your spot on. I did not research the headphones or compare to other identical listings ( usually do that ), as wanted a set of Xiaomi Headphones for ages now and just pulled the trigger.

Just the other day I thoroughly checked spec/weight difference for the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 and the verion 2 which has slightly different weight.

    Congrats on 100 posts!

Got the powerbank, and was given 300 points for some reason, so got it for $18.99 USD :)

Edit: Looks like the extra 100 points was for subscribing to their email.

    • Ouch. Not worth it for a $1 saving.

Once you attract a spammer, it can be difficult if not impossible to get rid of them.

Or you could unsubscribe from the link in the email.

        • +2

          That rarely works.

Either the link doesn't work or you get an error trying to unsubscribe (it's deliberate), or you 'successfully' unsubscribe but continue getting spam. I'm still getting spam from Lightinthebox even though I successfully unsubscribed. And I didn't even verify my account yet.

      • Just noticed that too but luckily I used a disposable email so no big deal.

        Thanks op!

  • +1

Cool and congrats! Grabbed one and I hope this comes..

    • Did you go for the standard free shipping, or did you pay extra $ for tracking number??? If so, how much extra for the power bank I am guessing?

      • I just used standard free shipping.

        • Haha, like me. If I remembered to use Cashback that could have covered that extra for free.

Let's Hope for the Best lol.

        • +1

          @ozhunter68: I forgot too. Oops.

  • Awesome deal! got one..thanks a lot

  • +2

Order the 20Ah power bank since BG canceled my order. I hope it's genuine.

  • Does the power bank work with Nexus 5x?

    • should work it its a genuine xiaomi powerbank.

  • anyone knows whats the shipping like with Tomtop?

  • +2

Ordered mine after signing up with newsletter. Brings it down to $18.99USD with the extra 100 pts you get on top of the 200. Cashrewards brings it down to $17.62USD so comes to $22.79AUD in total! Thanks OP.

    • ahhhh i ended up paying $29 after using paypal

      • +1

Could possibly cancel and reorder if it's a big deal to you

        • How long would you get with these guys in order to cancel an order from this afternoon? Any hassles with that?

  • +1

Thanks OP for sharing, I got the killer deal for $20.98US

  • Silly question but with the wifi amplifier, do I plug it in a wall adapter next to my router or do I just plug it into my laptop that I use in my room?

    • +3

There's no point putting it next to the router.

It's meant to extend the range of the signal, so put it in between the room that's between the router and the room that is getting weak reception.

  • +1

Got the killer deal for 19.98, i registered for tomtop and used the 300 points (200 initial + 100 for email subscription) Thanks doweyy!

  • have people had good experiences with tomtop? i wanted to purchase something from them but the reviews were terrible so i paid a bit more from alibaba.

    • +1

Just make sure that the item is genuine from Alibaba. There are a lot of counterfeit floating around on there.

As for experience with TomTop, just use PayPal buyers protection if the item fails to deliver.

  • Is there a difference between the back/Silver and the white? For me the white comes to $21.99 us after the discount code, but both the back and Silver are already discounted to $19.99us?

    • +2

      Black and Silver are 10000mah
      White is 20000mah

  • +2

Thanks OP. Just ordered one (Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 20000mAh) with new account which I was given 300 points instead of 200. Final price USD18.99!

  • +1

Let's hope Tomtop delivers the real thing. Thanks OP!

  • XYL25BPA? For Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 20000mAh delivered from TomTop?
That code doesn't seem to work.

Message says "Please note your coupon has been used for the wrong product category."

However, just now, the price is trending at US$ 19.99… without coupon codes or redeemed points.
    Awesome price!

    Thanks doweyy for the post!

    • Is that the 10000mah one?

      • It would be.

Once they realise their mistake, they'll be NiceGuy NoMore.

      • No; the 20000 mAH.

Hell… yeah! Appears the awesome deal on the 20000 mAH is legit.
Today revisited the deal; found everything working.
Applied the coupon, redeemed 300 points from sign-up.

        Order Subtotal: US$ 46.99
        Discount Total: US$ -28.48
        Grand Total: US$ 18.51

Got the whole shebang of confirmations and item-shipped emails. Got a tracking number too.
Now only to see if the item is genuine if and when it arrives.

    • Did you try on your PC or on mobile? It should still work?

  • Anyone have any review on the wifi extender? I need to extend the range from my main house to garage out back which is about 10-ish metres from the main house.

Can any one tell me how is this product? Thanks

  • bugger… the 20000mAh I got from last deal has not been shipped yet…

  • +1

    Thanks OP!
I did a breakdown of the 20,000 and the 10,000 to find out whats the cheapest.

Best to buy separately:- (see below)

    2 x 10,000
    XMPB17 = 22.98USD

    1 x 20,000
    XMPB17 = 29.99USD
    XYL25BPA = 21.99USD

    Both
    XMPB17 = 69.97USD
    XYL25BPA = 61.97USD

Bought them in 2 different orders.

Don't forget to sign up for 200 points, and 100 for the newsletter (300 = 3USD)

    Happy Bargaining!!!!!!

  • Is the headphones the pro HD?

Not sure whether to jump on it or if fake…

  • Tomtop is a registered fraudulent site in the Australian online shopping domain.

All positive feedback is carried out via Tomtop incentives to people whom have not purchased from the site. The Australian consumer watchdog, or ACCC is almost at the completion of their investigation.

Following the report the Australian governments cyber criminal bureau will action warnings nationally for any engagement with this site.

After the financial loss I incurred after purchase of a product that was never shipped I took it upon myself to offer my legal aid and collate a group of dissatisfied customers to provide evidence to the ACCC.

I hope we continue to discourage more than the 3,800 already prospective shoppers from Tomtop in hope of awareness of their unlawful business dealings.

There will be a response to this message from Tomtop in wanting to be seen in providing compensation, however this is corrupt much like all the positive feed back which has been traced to Tomtops subsidiary IP address (very poor cover up) .

This message wil be circulated amongst all online shopping review platforms in order to protect consumers.

Damn it. PayPal claim now or later…

    • +1

wow so why were they unbanned?

      • +1

Bucket of salt - "The Australian consumer watchdog, or ACCC is almost at the completion of their investigation." (almost?)

Even that poster doesn't seem to be a verified purchaser. Obviously a disgruntled customer and let's face it there's hundreds of those with any of these Chinese websites. 'Registered fraudulent site' sounds ominous but it really means nothing.

A 'fraudulent' site wouldn't use paypal anyway. I say it's a storm in a teacup. In any case 180 days paypal protection so not worried.

          https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.tomtop.com

          just read other reviews

yes, there are many unhappy customers.

just be-careful with them, you might save few dollars with them but …..

        • @babeface:

meh..mixed reviews of good and terrible. Most other Chinese sellers are more or less the same. Not saying they're great but I'm not jumping on the doom and gloom bandwagon.

As I said it's not big deal. If it doesn't show up I'll get my money back from Paypal.

          PS: I didn't neg you :)

        • @gimme: they have no customer service, they ignore your request most of time, that's main different between them and other Chinese seller.

        • @babeface:

sounds like my experience with 'geekbuying'

    • Thought I'd just come back to say people have had pleasant experiences with getting their products (including myself) and getting refunds if their power banks couldn't clear customs.

      Thanks for your input however.

      • Ordered July 19, order still not received. Emailed [email protected] (listed as CS number) on Monday, no response so far.

Any idea what I can do, and when did you receive yours?

        • +1

          Open a PayPal dispute asap

        • @tarken: Thanks, did that shortly after making my comment.

  • Great price, just purchased one! thanks @doweyy

  • How long does it usually take for TomTop to deliver to Australia? Is it one of those buy, set and forget stores? Thanks

    • My experience with most chinese sites 2-8 weeks depending which half way around the world courier they use.

    • I got the same email for my amplifier, but got a shipping notification 2 days earlier. I think it's just an email you can disregard.

      • Gotcha! All good then thanks

  • Anyone know if this 20000mAh power bank supports pass through charging?

  • It mentioned receive $50 voucher when sign up to newsletter.
Probably 10x $5 voucher to be used on 10 separate purchase :(

    • Yeah.. And using it means you can't use any other, more substantial vouchers.

They're smart. They give you up to $50 total in credit, but actually using it will net them more from you than they give out, so it's a win-win for them.

  • ordered one thanks!!

  • didn't even ask/pay for the tracking option and received shipping notice with tracking… all good so far. I expect it would take 4-7 weeks but not fussed.

  • Just updated the post for a better code which saves an extra 50c and updated for the new exchange rate at today.

  • so do these guys actually deliver the power banks?

I'm travelling OS next month and have decided to bite the bullet and pay full price for one fro kogan, just for guaranteed delivery.

        • +1

@myusername: Excellent decision!, I purchased this deal on Sunday and I am still waiting for a shipping notification. Order status is still 'processing' …

  • Why does mine come up as US $24.51 after the code?

    • Looks like they increased the price of the actual product :( I'll expire this price.

      • Still cheap but a shame.

  • How long is the delivery for Melboourne ordered on 19th June 2017?? Any representatives here?

    • It varies. They tell you up to 45 days. If you want accurate-ish ETAs then you need to buy locally and pay a premium or from a seller that has DHL or similar option and pay a premium. Key word is pay a premiumm.

  • This outfit are worse than shopping square. Good luck to you all.

    • How so? My Tomtop power banks arrived today wheres I'm still waiting for my Shopping Square ones two months on

      • +1
