          It does appear to have a browser that you can search though, so it's not just another worthless widget.
          Not sure how you type though - if it's like my KDL40HX700 which uses the remote… forget it.

          Best feature of current gen is DLNA I reckon. I love it… once I got it working.
          Tried many different DLNA servers (Twonky, TVersity, Nero, Wild Media) and none worked with Sony "out of the box".
          Mezzmo was the only one that worked - and it works really well.
          So anyone else interested in DLNA who owns a Sony or is buying this package - don't waste your time with the other servers… Mezzmo is the way to go. Cheers

          I'm pretty sure it would be the same package… Many places have the same deal often with links back to the promotion on the sony web site.

          I think this is actually a good price considering it was about $300 more a month ago (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/30247) and despite a new model coming out in two weeks.

    Jbhifi were setting up a 15% off sale this afternoon when i was there and they had this pack at $2296. So will be about $1950 with the 15% off. Guy said it ends Monday.

    Sony Central stores are also selling it for the same price. However, when talking to the sales rep on the phone, the guy said he could do a better price if you pay cash etc :)

      these tvs were imported way before the fx rate improved lol so dont think current FX rate will affect any TVs atleast till end of nov-dec
