  • 17.6mm.. would that be a normal height drive?

    • +1

      itd be a 12.5mm drive not a 9mm

  • I guess if u wanna save $1 its a better deal than the COTD deal ;)

    • +1

It comes with 3 years warranty :)

      • that too, and cotd will probably be sold out soon

    • OLC is also a bricks and mortar store (approaching the Central Station part of George Street) so aftersales access is better in Sydney.

      • Hope their service is also better then COTD. ( No access to store), post the item and wait for ever for warranty issues.

  • well am i glad i forgot to buy on to COTD.. BECAUSE THIS DEAL IS WAY BETTER!!

    • I m not saying this is much better than COTD deal, but at least: it won't get expired, available for shipping and pick-up and it comes with 3 year warranty :)

  • +3

This beats the catch of the day deal because of free shipping and these guys are awesome they have next day shipping on laptops ive got two from them and i got them both within 1-2 days after placing my order +1 for sure

  • Two places trying to get rid of the same hard drive, wondering what's wrong with it now…

Screw COTD anyway, I'd pay a few bucks more from another business any day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgvo0am9oO8

    • lol, that vid was hilarious… thx to whoever took the time out for making it…

    • oh please, post more videos of COTD
      that was funny !

COTD are like the itchy scab that you just can't leave alone. They've stuffed me around so many times I've forgotten but I keep going back !! Glad this deal was posted, saves me giving into temptation with COTD. I've bought a couple of bargain notebooks from these guys (online computer) and find them faultless.

  • Yep good deal, better than COTD because you get the full 3 years warranty, and its not COTD.

Now to make this post complete, we just need some tool to come along and compare it to a "much better value" 3.5" drive!

This one was definitely the best tool comment on these 2.5" deals, remember mathematics is fun!…

    Thats gonna take some beating.

  • Like it!
Just ordered online - process was simple and they accept paypal.

  • Sweet price!

  • 3 year warranty better than 2! => +ve from me

  • Where is the paypal option in payments?

  • I selected pay by Credit Card (unfortunately attracts a 1.5% surcharge - but I figure it's worth it as my card has automatic insurance for internet transactions).
The next screen uses paypal for the credit card processing - so I can just use my paypal login and avoid putting my CC details into a vendors DB.

BTW The confirmation email said 2-4 days which seems good to me.

  • Will you able to take the drive out and out it into PS3/notebook?
