    Vaya grey import yuk

    • apple offers internationa warranty!

      • -5

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

        • +6

They have an international warranty - stop speaking trash
I've had ZERO issues exercising rights here and overseas with both local and imported stock
Apple have in my opinion never exercised any of those terms provided you buy from an AUTHORIZED reseller / store etc

        • -5

          @aussman:

Thats nice, don't speak on something you have no idea about
misleading people is one thing I cannot stand here

        • -4

          @shawncro 222:
So why are you speaking ACCC consumer guarantee does not apply and Apple can choose to make you send your faulty product back to Hong Kong
Just because you have been lucky doesn't make you right

        • -2

          @aussman:

Did you read my comment or are you just here to talk trash

I will repeat myself slowly for you considering you're obviously clueless

          1. ACL DOES NOT APPLY TO GREY IMPORTS
          2. GREY IMPORTS ARE COVERED BY THE 12 MONTH STANDARD APPLE WARRANTY

want it any clearer or what?

        • -2

          @shawncro 222:
No send me the Apple document or link showing apples international warranty

Don't reply to me again or harrass me any futher on the topic
I am not spoon feeding a TROLL

          Wrong warranty https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ipad-english.h…
This is the relevant warranty for hk iPads

"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."

        • @DisabledUser175617: Is there a list of authorized resellers?

        • Ha, nicely wrapped up aussman. I was going to chirp in with this but you got there first. Hopefully the troll has left the building.

    • why a yuk?

      • +1

Because grey imports not really a bargain when you have to send it back to Hong Kong

      • +2

Aussman is incorrect, Apple will fix it locally, never had an issue EVER with local or grey stock
Its just not covered under the extended 24 month ACL laws
it is covered under the 12 month Apple international warranty
Apple are a market leader for Worldwide coverage of their products
The only restrictions would be CDMA phones which 1. wouldn't work here and 2. wouldnt be sold to our market so either way incorrect misleading information
        Buy and Save $$$$

I am not here to argue with "trolls"
I for one have had my iphone imported repaired
not going to waste my time with you
          thanks
          btw thanks for the negs

        • @shawncro 222: why are you thanking for negs. Negs aren't nice

        • +1

@DisabledUser175617: that's a shame. Are you afraid of clowns?
          They make this site hilarious

    • I'm literally typing on this exact iPad that I bought from Vaya ebay last month. Arrived in about a week brand new and all.

They did have some stuff ups and price-jacking when they first opened up their ebay store a few months ago but for this particular listing its listed price is indeed below AUS RRP, making the deal more worth considering. Definitely has Apple 12 months international warranty too if that's a concern.

  • +1

Just changed the price to $749.60:) even cheaper!

    • -2

"cheap" is not the word to use when describing Apple's prices

    • good work on getting such a good deal

  • Is Ausluck = Vaya?
Edit: dont worry. I thought the seller was Ausluck

    • You're right, OP stuffs up the post by switching from Ausluck to Vaya.

Just to stop the trolls replying
here IS PROOF OF THE INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY TERMS

NOTE THE WORD , WORLDWIDE WARRANTY
    PRETTY OBVIOUS HEY

    • That's what I said as well, Apple offers International warranty. These people have read too much of negative stuff online but never experienced any, hence they are hesitant in buying it.

      • +1

        That's what she said

        • hahaha

    • Why did that guy get his account disabled?

      • +1

        RIP

      • +2

Who knew someone could be so passionate about grey imports

      • +1

        I'm guessing:
Penalty Bin due to personal attacks -> permaban (because of too many other bans) -> chose to just close the account

Disabled accounts are because the member chose to close the account, it's not something done by admin

  • +1

I just want to know if this is actually a good deal? Possibly a mistake that Vaya shop didn't price jack their ipads?

    • Just buy it, will ya? otherwise this deal will be gone, it is actually $229 cheaper than its orginal price

  • Don't forget to use cashrewards. Takes another AUD $12.18 off the total.

    • yeah!!! I did put the cash reward discount but for some reason the mod took it off.

      • CR isn't guaranteed. As per guideline, you can put it in the description but not in the title.

        • Done EVAAAA :)

  • Space Grey FINALLY! Bought, thanks. Anyone know if this comes with an Australian power plug?

    • Someone left feedback saying they got an AU plug so my guess is that you would too. Who knows tho.

    • +1

      comes with a travel adaptor

  • +1

Bought one from VAYA since the last deal, postage prettt quick though and came with an Australian plug. Very happy. In my opinion Apple products have less trouble thus if I buy an iPad imported from outside of Australia I'm pretty sure it's not very bad.

    • How long did postage take? I'll be leaving the country in 3 weeks so ideally it arrives before then - the current postage estimation cuts it too close for my liking!
      Cheers!

      • +1

I was about one week for me maybe six days as I remember. I'm not in country area though

        • That would work out quite well if it was within 5 business days. Thank you

      • Sure you'll get it within less than three weeks

  • Vaya? Ewwwww

This appears NOT to be the 2017 edition.

That is listed separately and at a higher price and says its 2017 where as this one doesn't.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/iPad-Pro-10-5-64GB-Gold-Rose-Gold…

    • It does say 2017 edition, I think the one you linked is the cellular version.

      • Correct. If you look under "Item Specifics", the expensive one has the MPN as APL-IPAD-PRO-10-4G-64GB-SLV. Notice the "4G" in the middle.

    • +1

      I don't think there is a non-2017 version iPad Pro 10.5

      • +3

ipad pro 10.5 was released in June 2017

    • +2

The 10.5" iPad was only recently released, so there are no earlier models. They're all 2017.

    • +2

10.5 was only out weeks ago. Previous Pro's are either 9.7 or 12.9.

  • +2

Just to chime in to further clarify warranty:

Apple offers an international warranty for the first 12 months of a device's life

This warranty applies to all products, with the only exception being cellular devices (iPhone + iPad (cellular + WiFi variant)) which are not compatible with the country that you are seeking servicing in (Australia uses GSM, so a CDMA model will be refused service here)

The Australian Consumer Law only applied to products bought from an Australian company with a proper ABN. Companies like Kogan and Vaya sell these products from their 'International HQ" which is often located in HK, thus absolving them from any potential consumer law claims.

  • +2

Vaya Ebay tried to cheat me. Told me the apple phone was new and someone else's account details were on it. FAKE VAYA

  • $863.20 via AUSLUCK or $749 via Vaya. Is it worth the extra to buy local Australian stock?

    • +2

You decide if an extra 12 month warranty is worth $114 extra.

For some it will be, for others it won't be.

As for me, I would probably get the HK version since $863 for 64GB doesn't exactly feel like a huge bargain to me. The 9.7 Pro 128GB was $900 ages ago, so the price on this 64GB doesn't blow my socks off. And an extra 64GB is more important to me than an extra 0.8". Well, ok, you do get a faster processor too. But it's 1 year later, so if they phase out the old model, I would expect the new one to take the old pricing.

$749 is an ok deal. There will be better later though.

      • Do you know if I'd be able to claim tax for the vaya deal?

        • +1

          It's grey import, so no.

If you're claiming tax, go for the AUS stock one.

  • I'm tempted to get this, but is the packaging indistinguishable from Aussie packaging?

I have an iPad pro 9.7 I got from Kogan and I'm pretty sure it was an import and it's been great.

Also for they love of God, can I transfer my ftl saves? Please?

    • Has both Chinese and English in the description at the back of the box as it's HK stock, plus the genuine HK charger. Same otherwise.

      • Ahh well, we'll see what happens I guess. Hope it comes with an Aussie one too

        • They included a travel adapter if that's what you're concerned about.

  • Reply above

  • What the hell…rolled the dice on this one…let's see how quickly they deliver!

  • Did anyone else cave in and not have this ship?..

  • Mine arrived today, good working order, 64GB Model with Wifi - box had minor minor ding on the corners, but 98% fine. The labelling is all English - however it does have a UK power plug INSIDE the box, so if you ever re-sell the thing, it's obvious it was sourced overseas.
