Offer is limited to 500 SIM cards.Shipped to Australian addresses only.

We've partnered with ComfortWay to become the Australian distributor of the CwSim.
It's a pre-paid data SIM used when travelling in 190+ countries that is designed to save you heaps of $$.

Over the past 2.5 years ComfortWay has been working on a new data roaming solution that connects a smartphone user directly with telecommunications companies around the world when they travel. This essentially bypasses all the middle men and the end user can achieve rates that are nearly on par with what a local user would pay in that country.
Paired with the App (available on iOS and Android) the user downloads the local network (APN) settings over-the-air using remote sim provisioning.

We've tested this product out throughout Australia, Europe and Asia but as we cannot travel to every country we are seeking international travelers to give us some feedback on the product themselves. In return we've offering you CwSim for AU$20.

We've hoping to roll out an Ezyroam branded SIM in the future and bill our users directly in Australian Dollars.

FAQs

1)What currency am I billed done in?
Currently the data billing is charged in Euros. The SIM is in AUD If you have a credit card that doesn't charge any international transaction fees we suggest you use that.

2) Do you have 4G?
Sorry but we don't have 4G coverage just yet. It's currenly 3G. Like our Facebook page to receive updates on this.
3) Why not just use Wi-Fi, it's free? Yes, but you're not going to be able travel far beyond the local coffee shop are you?
4) Why not just buy a local SIM? Whilst it may be cheaper, it isn't always convenient.
5) Why not just get a data roaming pack on my existing plan? Yes, Vodafone has $5 per day roaming packages and Telstra has new $10 per day packages but you need a post-paid plan with them. Plus if you go over the your limit you're going to be a huge amount per MB.
6) I use OzBargain and $20 is too much money for me. Can I have a discount? Jump on our Facebook page and like it. We'll be running a promo soon that asks you to find a product that costs less for data than ours. If you can do that we'll give you a free SIM. Don't worry if you purchase a SIM prior to to this we'll just refund you the money.
7) What's your returns policy? Normally it's 30 days. See our website for terms and conditions. However for this promo we won't be able to offer change of mind returns. We're giving you a discount and in return we'd just like you to give us some feedback so we can deliver a product that is the best value data roaming solution to date.

EDIT:
There are a few links that should have been posted earlier.
Rates are currently from €7.4 ~ AU $11 per GB on the base plan.

The best way to look up the rates for a particular country is either through the PDF link provided below or via the ComfortWay website and selecting a country from the drop down list.
You need the Android App or iOS App in order to manage the SIM card.(add credit, download the APN settings etc) The User Guide explains how it works.

With that lengthy essay-length blurb, you don’t provide info that’s really relevant and important like - HOW MUCH IS IT FOR DATA? WHAT ARE THE RATES?!!!

    • +1

agree. Not a deal if there is no indication of what it is.

      • Rate is for UK and EU countries. Data rates may vary by country. Data is available in 190 Countries. No SIM expiry. Easy to use App for iOS and Android. Prepaid. Express shipping available. Never receive an unexpected data roaming bill.

        A$11 per GB

        Not sure it's bargain

    • Thanks. A very good point. Links to this critical information are now included above.

  • It is fine that the "deal" is limited to 500 SIM cards since you won't even reach one hundreth of it.

  • The explanation is too long winded and lacks something like a critical information summary. Anyway, here are the rates

and from what I understand, you're paying $19.99 for a $49.95 worth of Prepaid data. The data is 3G only, not 4G.

To understand what the usage / download allowance are, you must download a mobile app, which I think is ComfortWay?

    • The $19.99 is for the SIM only which does NOT include any credit. You need to buy a data plan for your planned destination on top of that. This SIM cost makes this not really attractive for a single short trip, even at the "discounted" price. Maybe it's more useful for those who travel a lot and to many places.

BTW can't see any info on expiry date for the SIM after last use/topup? If this is not long, it may force people to buy a SIM for each trip.

      • oh that's a bummer. I kept re-reading the site until I got confused. I'll leave the rep to clear things up.

      • This SIM is recommended either for people who make regular overseas trips or a visiting multiple countries on a single journey. The SIM card itself never expires but the validity period of the data package for that country is determined by much data is purchased. For 100MB - 7 days, 200MB - 14 days, 500MB - 14 days, 1GB - 30 days. This can be seen on the ComfortWay Tariff page.

I just checked out the rates, this is so expensive. $88 for 1GB of data in India. If you buy a local SIM card it's around $10 for 7GB. This is not a bargain.

I travel a lot and and i would rather the inconvenience of buying multiple local SIMs than pay extortionate fees for "convenience".

  • rates too expensive better off getting a local sim pack

  • I still have no idea what these guys do.
    On the bright side, TGIF!

    • Hi There, basically we sell mobile data customers who travel internationlly who want the ability use a single SIM. Its for those who don't want to to rely on WiFi, pay global roaming fees to their own provider eg. Telstra, Optus or Vodafone or have the hassle or purchasing a local SIM. Whilst a local SIM can be cheaper only some countries have prepaid sim cards that don't require activation / ID/ a local credit card. A similar product would be Travel SIm or Aussie Sim. You just need to download our app because you add credit and manage the sim card with it. As we grow our rates will decrease much further with the intention of being the same as if you purchased a local sim card.
