Young cattle thrive on green pastures in a relaxed environment to ensure their meat is beautifully soft and tender without the need of added hormones.

It is all about saying 'no' to shortcuts to achieve a true paddock to plate eating experience. No added growth hormones, no use of antibiotics and no last minute finishing all contribute to a different way that delivers an outstanding eating experience every time. Australia is home to many premium breeds of beef, but the real king is Australian Black Angus Beef, trusted in fine dining restaurants across the world.

  • Not sure if this is a dumb question, but how is the meat kept fresh (cold) during the delivery time (lets say to Melbourne)?

    • +1

It is delivered in a large polystyrene box filled with ice and ice packs. I've received 2 shipments in Melbourne and both were cold and well packaged. I put what I wanted to eat soon in the fridge and froze the rest. The quality and value is excellent. 10 out of 10. Would buy again.

          It's THAT good!

        • No

        • Buying for family members maybe??

        • +1

          I don't believe so

  • My experience wasn't good. Brisbane delivery was left in the sun on a different day than advised and was warm in the melted ice.
The sirloin was slim and wedge shaped and bore no resemblance to the pictures. A request for the thicker 300gm was ignored.

    • Hi there,

We're sorry you didn't have a good experience - if you'd like to get in touch, we'd love to come to a resolution! :)

    • Perils of the sunshine state ;)

  • Individual selling price on all items is $301!

Not really, could buy that for about $180 at everyday prices.

    • +3

Agreed, but that would require talking to a human ;)

    • +1

Yeah i was doing the maths. I reckon even lower then that @ Vicmarket. That doesn't even include a decent discount for bulk buying.

And i get to pick what I want. I'm not sure what the premium is for?

Although is it bulk good steak, then Costco is hard to beat for quality.

    • +2

Yes you could buy this at the supermarket for $180. This is for grass fed, hormone free, ethically raised black angus beef - costs based on our Sutton Forest Prices :)

      • Coles beef is hormone-free and grass-fed, and although Black Angus may attract a premium, I still can't imagine it being close to $300.

        • +5

Sure supermarket chains have some premium ranges - but there's a number of reasons why it's important to understand the differences between our style of meat and large chains.

The meat you find in a grocery store is mass-produced. Its origins are more like a factory than a traditional farm. The purpose of these meat factories is to produce as much meat as possible.

This means poor quality control and poor meat quality. Factory-style farming means less nutrients in the meat. Mass-produced meat is also more likely to contain antibiotics or growth hormones. Factory-style farming includes additives in the animal feed, too. You do not want to pass these unhealthy substances on to your family from eating mass-produced meat.

While this type of farming itself is questionable, so is the overall quality of the meat. You do not know how long the meat is been in a processing and packaging facility, or the health and safety precautions that are taken at the facilities. In addition, you do not know if the meat has been transported to the store in a sanitary manner, how it has been handled at the store, or how long it has been available for sale. You are taking chances if you rely on the expiration dates.

You will not have these concerns when you buy farm fresh meat. When you buy farm fresh meat, you are supporting local business and local farms. Also, you are creating sustainability for farms and farmers, and protecting the environment.

The small extra cost is worth it. You are doing your part to sustain local businesses, and you are providing the very best for your family.

With that said, we're more than happy to answer any additional questions you have - always love helping share our knowledge on the difference between various meat suppliers, supporting ethical practices, small farmers and our recommendations - get in touch! :) [email protected]

As a satisfied customer, you can't compare to the supermarkets. The quality is more aligned with what you would expect from a quality butcher and/or food restaurant.

Does Hillary Clinton come included in this pack?

    • It's ethically sourced. Pauline Hanson thanks you for remaining kosher :D
