    How much is that worth?

      ~$200 selling in the classifieds.

      • I thought they were cracking down on point transfer to non family members?

        • I've heard conflicting stories, people are still transferring with no repercussions however, the classified buyer has a very smart way of doing it.

        • @doweyy: Hmmmm….very interesting. Do you mind PMing me who the buyer is?

        • @MadMaxBargainRoad: @MadMaxBargainRoad and @doweyy.. Would you guys be able to PM me as well about who the buyer is or what that smart way of doing it is please?

        • @Benwa:
          You don't have PMs enabled.

        • @WatermelonJuice: Hadn't even realised.. they're definitely on now!

        • @doweyy: mate please PM me as well. Got 30k which I don't need.

          @d86:
          Giving it away for free?

        • @lovepub:

Of course mate, also throw in some cash incentives..

        • @doweyy:

if anyone wants to offload points, PM me :)

Can you take it on the flight ?

It keeps getting better… 200 off tgg + 100 efpost card + 20000 qff points + 105 gst refund! Now just waiting for someone to add amax credits or price protection insurance in credit cards.

      • Won't you get taxed back in as over $900?

      • How do you get the $105 gst refund sorry? Haven't done that before aha

        • Businesses registered for GST credit get it back from the ATO in a form of a credit against their GST. You can also get TRS if you are going overseas. You can also team it up with this Westpac deal $0 annual fee and get $200 credit on top of the perks mentioned above

        • @lowFi: Thanks. But if not bought for business, the TRS is only applicable if leaving Aus within 60 days?

        • @BurningSeason:

Yes only within 60 days of leaving Australia.
          border force

      • "add amax credits or price protection insurance in credit cards"???? purchase protection??

      • I think TGG promotion ends today so now is the time to bite the bullet!

      • IS 105 gst refund correct? isnt tax invoice total for s8 $1199.00 x 10% = $119.9 gst refund?

        • GST is actually calculated as:
          total price / 11
So the GST for your calculation would be $1199/11 = $109.00 (which is what you can claim via TRS)
          Cheers

        • @genes888: thanks but what would the actual total invoice be? isnt it $1199 - 200 IF you enter 200OFFS8 code? im very tempted to buy it as i plan to claim trs and business gst back lol but i already have s7 and dont really need it.

        • @coolsteps:

I don't think you're allowed to claim the gst both from your business and TRS. You're essentially claiming the same tax back twice.

        • +1

@coolsteps: GST refund by TRS is calculated on the actual RRP of the phone (it doesn't take into account discounts, gift vouchers etc).
So if the RRP @ the TGG for the S8 is $1199 but you actually only paid $999 with the discount code, you still get a GST refund off the $1199 NOT the $999. It works out better for us consumers as we get a higher GST percentage off when travelling overseas.

        • +1

@genes888: GST refund by TRS is calculated on the invoice amount, not RRP. So if the phone's RRP is $1199, but I paid $999 to Good Guys (after discount code and the invoice shows), then I get GST back on $999.

The eBay sales are a bit different, as the invoice doesn't show the eBay discount so you're much better off that way.

Samsung must be pretty scared on the iPhone 8…

When are they going to sell a dual-sim version in Australia?

    • Until they do Lenovo has the market share with their Moto Z range.

      • Australian Moto Z has dual sim?

        • +1

Sure does; I'm running a Moto Z now and it's dual-sim Australian stock from Harvey Norman. Previously had the Moto G4 Plus which is also Australian stock dual sim. The Moto Z Play/Moto Z Play are also dual-sim.

          https://www.motorola.com.au/home

        • @CLoSeR: Aus-delivered LG G6 has dual sim too.

        • @CLoSeR:
          Nice!

        • @omgitzrick: Good to know but I was burn't by the LG G4. No more LG.

        • @CLoSeR: Yeah the G4 sucked. It's a shame. I have both an S8 and G6 right now and the S8 is on the chopping block :D

        • @omgitzrick: I had an S3; never been a fan of Samsung UI. Moto is much cleaner.

    • Dual sim is overseas models only. Always been that way.

      • I know and it sucks … plenty of uses for dual sim in Australia too. Not sure why people neg voted the comment.

  • Great deal on the best phone availiable.

    • I'm actually enjoying my G6 a lot more but it's a damn fine phone for sure.

      • +1 Bought it for my mum when the $460 deal was on and she hasn't complained since. I seriously don't know why s8 is a lot more expensive than the G6. Yes the s8 has infinity display but is it really worth the extra $?

  • the note 8 must be pretty amazing.

  • So cheap……… shxx……… I wanna upgrade my S7 to S8 now…..

  • If only it included the s8 dual sim models…

  • Damn. Bought one a week ago :(

  • Awesome, can use one of the phones I buy for staff for this!

  • Be careful with the latest update. It's f*edup my wife's S8 as well as others. My wife is able to hear the person on the other end but they can't hear here.

  • Does anyone know if MobileCiti is one of the participating retailers?

    • It should be, as the T&C state it to be any Australian retailer selling them. Can't see why they won't be.

  • For those who have claimed (if any): does the proof of IMEI have to be a screenshot from the phone, or can it be a photo of the box where it shows the IMEI?

Ask as I want to buy the phone for the points, and sell it as unused with receipt. Cheers all.

    • need to input IMEI when making a redemption

    • It asks for a shot of the phone screen menu.

  • Anyone having troubles logging in on the website? Keeps telling me my password is invalid

  • Has anyone been able to claim with the $888 S8 in the eBay deal here:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-5-8-4GB-RAM-Opt…
I need to buy 7 of them, but I can't unless I know im going to get the points.

    • Like others here, i got my s8+ from that store thru eBay and mine just got accepted by samsung

  • So can anyone confirm if the 20kids is avail on this deal

    That would be great

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/324441

    • I submitted a claim today but apparently it may take up to 30 days to process.

  • Do you get 2x20k if buying 2 S8 phones?

    • According to the FAQ

Can I claim more than once?
Yes. You can claim Qantas Points on the purchase of an unlimited number of Participating
      Products during the Promotion Period.

  • +1

    Purchased through mobileciti ebay.

Just got an email from Samsung "Claim has been Completed successfully!"

    • How many days did your claim take to process? I have two claims that I put in a few days ago so I was curious…thank you! :)

      • I made two claims on the 14th of August and got the points yesterday.

  • Do we need to submit the claim during the promotion period or just have purchased the phone during the period?

  • +1
