    Store in title pls

  • Do you have a link to the 40"? I can't seem to find it on the Officeworks website.

    • No link is on the Officeworks website for the 40". Only for the 32"

  • Is this good as computer monitor for watching movie? Don't play games.

You will be stuck with 1366 x 768 resolution. Not recommended as a monitor.

You could buy a Full HD 43" TV with Smart features during sale for around $500 dollars on eBay, just wait until 4PM and the code will be active. I got my Hisense 3 for around that price from TGG.

    1366x768….

    • what do you mean by this? I was planning on picking up the 32" but not entirely sure haha

      • The resolution is poor for the size, the 5" screen of my 3 year old phone is 1920 x 1080 pixels for example.

        • You're conveniently ignoring viewing distance. You would need to sit closer than 1.5m from a 32" screen to see any benefit from 1080p.
A phone you view much closer than any TV.

        • @Max Power: Yes I guess that's true. I sit 70cm from my computer monitor though so a warning not to buy it for that purpose.

Just wondering, when did Officeworks start selling Televisions?.

    • Quite a while ago actually.

  • Extremely low/non existent stock…

  • A 40" TV for $447 is a bargain? I think not.

  • 1366 x 768 - is that uncommon with using as a monitor? I was thinking of setting up a samsung dex for my s8. I haven't had a desktop in at least a decade. Was curious whether getting something between 20 - 30" montiro wise and pairing that with the samsung s8 + samsung dex would work well for on the go office computing.

Not sure if 1366 x 768 would be noticeably sub par if not playing games or anything ? Or would I be doing myself a disservice?

    • 1366 x 768 on a display bigger than 24" is extremely… pixelated, and for officework (no pun intended) sub optimal for productivity.

Even at a viewing distance of 1 to 2 meters you can see the individual pixels, in the context of this deal (32 or 43" inch)

If you want to simulate what 1366 x 768 looks like, you can hook up your laptop to a TV screen and then change your Windows display resolution to 1366 x 768, and then try to browse internet / use Google Docs and see just how much less of the website you can see.

A vertical resolution of 768 versus standard 1080 is very noticeable.

  • the 40 inch is full HD
