Tonight I negotiated these two deals with GeekBuying. This time the ROIDMI 3S is cheaper than last time

The ROIDMI 3S Car Charger allows you to connect a phone to your car's FM stereo system via Bluetooth to wirelessly transmit music. It has dual USB for charging two devices simultaneously up to 5V/3.4A and everything can be controlled using an app for Android and iOS. Unlike it's predecessor the ROIDMI 3S now has a universal plug which allows it to be use with any car without requiring the use of an adapter.

The Yeelight Motion Sensor Light is a wide angle white LED light that can light up an area for 15s when the motion sensor is triggered. It can be used up to 120 days on a single charge and has 2 brightness modes - 3.5lm and 7lm. It can be mounted magnetically, with the 3M adhesive tape on the back or with its fold out hook. This light is suitable for use as a night light or in the wardrobe, stairs, garage etc.

    The Roidmi 3S is great. Compared to my Belkin FM Transmitter it produces a much more powerful radio signal.

        Nope, you'll get too much interference from an existing station in my experience.

      It really is, I'm really enjoying mine especially with the app it automatically opens Spotify and starts playing music. The only thing that's been annoying me is the chimes on startup. The first one is ok but the second one (which I assume is to indicate the phone connecting to the device) is so shrill and loud. Can't figure out a way to mute it

        It's the same with the 2S version. Horrible start-up sound, specially the 2nd one. Well, not gonna upgrade to 3S then.

    Checking aliexpress there is older version for AuD 13. The difference is older using 3x AA batteries but this one lithium.

    Hmm… Not sure which one better. Eneloops

      Correct this is the latest version. There is the older Xiaomi Mijia which runs of AA batteries and is less bright.

      Good price too - just bought one. RRP is 79RMB which is around $15AUD delivered in China. So $11USD is good for it to be delivered to Australia.

      The first one was version 1. Then came version 2. This is the version 3, the latest one, but I suspect that isn't what you were asking?

      The main differences between v2 and V3 are that

      • V2 had a microphone for taking Bluetooth phone calls, except it was universally canned as worse than useless. V3 has no microphone, which is better than having one that doesn't work.
      • Also, V2 had a different socket mechanism that only fit some cars, whereas V3 has different lugs that should fit most (all?) cars.

        I didn't realise that the 3 didn't have a mic, that makes it pretty useless to me unless the sound still comes out of the speakers and the Mic on the phone is better than that in the 2. I just tested my 2 on the weekend and while the mic isn't great it worked,and my ciggie lighter is quite low down on the dash.

          Not sure what Geekbuying uses but Gearbest uses UBI for their priority line - it's tracked by AP but doesn't show up if you search for it as an AP number. Try searching on 17track as a UBI number maybe.

    Don't waste your money on Roidmi 3S. I have got both Roidmi 2S and 3S… Previous 2S version is far superior in sound quality than 3S if its compatible with your car cigarette socket. Apparently 2S is still more dearer than newer 3S. There is a reason for that don't you think?

      How much worse?

      When I first set up my 3S there was quite a bit of noise. The roidmi driver app would bump my media volume up to 94% every time I started the car but I managed to eliminate most of the noise by removing the app, dropping the media volume to below 74% and turning the car volume up to compensate.

      I can still hear slight background noise when the car is idle but it's not noticeable at all when driving. It sounds decent now for what it is, comparable in quality to FM stations.

    I got a roidmi from a previous deal, only tried using once and had issues.

    Can you somehow change the radio station it tunes to? It is very close to a local station and cuts in and out.

    Strangely, if I cup my hand over it while in operation it works fine.
