  • very good promotion

  • This is a great deal. Do you know if this ever expired? Wish I had remembered this deal…

After my 3 months finished in 2014(?) I couldn't find it. They must've brought it back from 2015 onwards until now, I imagine infrastructure is a lot better.

    Not for Nepal :(

  • +4

It's not world wide. It's only 63 countries. There are a 120+ countries missing.

    • Sorry should have written Worldwide™

    • +1

Worldwide simply means throughout the world. It doesn't have to cover every single country to call it worldwide.

  • what is skype?

  • how do i cancel subs

    "the return of Kogan 12-monthers"

    whats that?

    • +1

The Kogan 12-month discounted plans are back, but Kogan lacks international minutes (compared to alternative best value-for-money plans).

  • No Philippines either

Paying for VoIP is still a thing?

    • Much better voice quality at least with Skype.

    • Are there any decent VoIP providers that give a local in-dial number? I've not found anything that appears reliable from recent searches.

      • Well skype has the Skype Number that gives you a landline equivalent that people can call.

        • I'm thinking more of a SIP service that I can connect an IP desk phone to. It's more outgoing that I'm looking for.

    • +3

      Yes for calling old people

  • Can you cancel as soon as you get the trial? I'll be os when it finishes and don't want the hassle of having to remember to cancel.

    • +1

I could last time, then yes you can

  • No calls to Australian mobiles is a bit of a downer.

  • +1

Since Microsoft has taken Skype, it is not the same and as simple as before, I am using Whatsapp more now.

  • I'm guessing that another way of using it would be to call landlines back in Australia when travelling overseas to one of the listed countries

  • Has anybody tried to cancel their subscription with an android app? I only see the cancel subscription option in the desktop version of skype.

  • Someone still has a landline phone? Oh, maybe that's why it's limited to only those countries.
