  • This one seems to not be the snap dragon version if that seems to be an issue for anyone

I see sorry mate must be blind haha .. Soo what are the pro and con between the two CPU's?

Snapdragon has custom roms. Therefore, only consider the Snapdragon version imo.

I don't think there was a need for your comment about this.

This appears to be the snapdragon 820 version

Got a std. ZUK2, full of bugs and issues, these are China market for a reason

      • Loving my one. Maybe consider installing a custom rom like AICP

      • "these are China market for a reason"

Are you saying Chinese cant afford Apple or Samsung?

        • NO, YOU ARE SAYING THAT, i am saying what i said "these are China Market" phones, made for the Chinese and not recommended for export

        • @8200:

Instead of saying "these are China market for a reason". You should've said ""these are China Market" phones, made for the Chinese and not recommended for export".

I think that's the reason why people negged you.

    • 2nd sim 2G only or 3G/4G?

      • Snapdragon 820, so 4g/3g or 3g/4g whichever SIM you choose to enable data.

  • Does anyone know if they ship to india ?

    • +2

Yes. I sent 6 to my cousins just now.

  • +1

Only wish there was band 28.

Here it is cheaper but currently out of stock, should be back in sometime in the next week and postage is supposed to be a lot faster with these guys.

  • Waiting for Mi Max 2 :(

    • +2

      Thanks for letting us know.

  • How does this compare to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/324382 it is still $200 for the Note 4 with the superior? SD processor….any advantage buying the 4X over the 4?

    • Don't believe so, the SD 625 is preferred to H X20

      • +1

Not in bench marks it isn't the H X20 outperforms it.

    • +1

      I just found it….4GB/64GB compared to 3GB/32GB

      • The benchmark is comparing the CPU performance not the RAM…

        • I didnt mention benchmark…..I was making comment on pricepoint where most people would rank the difference in RAM above the difference in CPU in this case….

  • Snapdragon version I saw last week for $190 on GearBest. Redmi note 5 must be coming soon surely

    • +1

      It is :)

Can't wait to see some deals for it here!

edit: To be precise, this is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A which is supposedly a basic version. Would really like to see what the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 proper has. Concerned about this one from the point of view of processor (Snapdragon 4xx as opposed to Snapdragon 6xx)

      • 400 series is pretty weak so would stick with 625 and above. Xiaomi aren't like the old days where they used to have higher end mid range chipsets but now go for lower end. Bit of a bummer everytime there is something new announced but it is what it is.

    • That was 32gb/3gb option

  • +1

ZUK 2 Pro seems to be quite powerful though the battery looks a bit less. Nothing wrong with my Meizu Note 5 but I want another cheap toy phone to play with so badly…

  • +3

Still confused about Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Note 4X (i.e. differences) lol

  • +3

My experience is Xiaomi mobiles are sturdy & hardware is good but software has deep integration with mi cloud & their apps that you can't change. Like their SMS app is deeply integrated with contacts that even if you install another sms app as default it reverts back to mi sms app if you click from c. And they don't give kernel for custom Roms. If you are happy with their apps then all good else look for other phones like lenovo zte sony Motorola etc.

  • Great Camera

According to who? Serious question, I'm looking for a new phone for the missus and camera quality is important

    • vs any other $200 phone its about as good as it gets - however obviously if you compare vs galaxy s7 etc. its rubbish.

Id say the camera is somewhere between s5 and s6

  • If I recall correctly Australia is not listed on their region settings if you google it there are posts about this.

    • +1

      Set it to Vietnam

  • Looks like this is back - now with a price of $199 AUD
