HEYREVEL

I was informed that the above code works for five free coffees.

It works on existing accounts and I have tested it on two coffees in Sydney CBD.

Uncertain of expiry date and start date.

  • I am guessing that Hey You will stop this soon … too many free coffees …

    • +1

Owned by Westpac, each active user would make the company look better on paper for a sale perhaps?

  • nice worked.

  • Hey, you!
Do you know any good coffee places (for free coffees) in North Sydney? Chatswood/North Ryde area?

    • dinning co at north ryde..

      • +1

I'll have a look at it, any at Macquarie Centre or near Chatswood station? Commute via train :)

        • +1

Best coffee at Chatswood station is The Steam Engine unfortunately they are not part of Hey You.

Chimichuri and Cofi House aren't bad.

        • @uggugg: thanks for that I'll be sure to check them out! Are they part of hey you?

        • @pennypincher98: On the west side of Chatswood station around the work buildings there's Briskett and everytime I've ordered coffee from them, it was pretty spot on. And by everytime I probably mean 5-7 coffees cause I'm an ozbargainer and rarely pay full price. At one stage they did the $2.50 coffee deals. And now they've removed the beat the Q app for windows phone so no longer use Hey you.

        • @gezza90: Thanks for that, but I found two at Macquarie Centre (soul origin and the missing piece) so I use them. Thanks anyway!

Works in Canberra. Got a large mocha

    • +5

      • +4

Yes large and extra strong works too! Free $5 coffee!

        • single origin and soy milk would be another $1

        • @wjb: lol

        • +20

My biggest one is: (yet to order it as the cafe was offline)

          Oliver Brown World Square
          HOT CHOCOLATE
          Extra chocolate
          Hazelnut
          Dark
          Crunchy balls
          Soy
          Mint hot chocolate
          Large
          $10.30

          😂

        • +6

@pickleric: You lost me at soy

        • @pickleric: have an upvote for that

        • @pickleric:

  • Thanks op

  • does it work on new account?

  • Worked! Amazing mate thank you

  • How does this works? Do I need to purchase any coffee in order to get free coffee?

    • +6

      Add code.

      Buy coffees

      • +17

        then buy Sydney property.

        • +1

Bondi is so cheap I can buy like 5 of them.

    • +5

No just enter voucher in the app, select any coffee and check out - it should say $0.00 - thanks for using Hey You

      • +2

        Thanks picklerick

  • +1

Is there a list of participating cafes?

      • +5

        Well that's just wrong…

      • Seems to work for all Hey You cafes.

        • +1

Apparently not? Since all the negatives.

Shrugs. People don't like the truth

  • +1

sigh, no cafes around me :(. Worth a 20+ min drive for a free coffee lol?

    • just walk, its worth it

      • +2

Ill need that coffee before i start walking haha

        • The app tells you cafes near you that offer it.

        • @kiriakoz: yeah, sadly got none around me:(

        • +2

@dylanando: ahh, apologies for my ignorance. I'm in the CBD so didn't realise.

  • Nice one - even have a local place that supports the app. Tested it out and so far have managed to order one free cuppa so fingers crossed for the next 4!

  • Applied successfully. Thanks!

  • Awesome, I'll be able to get a coffee for free tomorrow at Uni :)

  • you're a legend.. !

  • Goddamn it… already on 3… hope it still works tomorrow.

    • +1

      just buy decaf

      • +6

        Blasphemy!

  • +1

Applied. Hopefully they don't revoke the code! Thanks!

  • South Melbourne is often known for its coffee with places like St Ali putting it on the map….now it just so happens im here today and the only place that's coming up is….Woolies! Has anyone tried it?

    • It depends on the person making it. I had one from Woolworths Metro at Spencer Street Station that was quite good.

  • Been accepted for me as well! Will try it out tomorrow morning at my regular place and see if it's still working then

  • Doesn't work on tea :(

    • Really!? It worked for a Chai Latte. And has worked for hot chocolate and chai latte for previous sign up codes. I don't get tea since milk is more expensive ;)

  • any good cafes in barangaroo

    • Shirt bar?

      • +1

        First look, I read

        Shit bar?

    • Bourke St Bakery is my go-to

  • +4

Link for Android app because the site's link goes straight to iTunes.

  • good find - bravo to OP ! just got myself and my coffee buddy one coffee each at kikko coffee in QVB ( our go to cafe ) ..

  • Even the XL size is free, and it's my closest, and usual cafe! Win!

    • do they get money don't you feel bad

      • I did ask actually; apparently the app has an every 10th free deal which the cafe has to cover, but these ones aren't out of their pocket.

  • +2

Excellent. Even better than the $2 coffees a few weeks back :)

  • +4

Do these places accept a reusable cup? I don't use takeaway cups at all anymore so I'm not sure how these "beat the queue" services work for those of us that think takeaway cups are wasteful.

    • +6

Yes they do, just write it in the comment or click it in the app if they have a button for it.

Just hand them the cup when you get there.

      • +3

I didn't realise this was possible, will try it, thanks. My go to coffee shop takes reusable cups but wasn't sure how to combine it with Hey You.

    • +2

Yeah I just go in, take my keep cup and tell them I want to pay with the app, they're always happy to do it.

  • Works for me
There are 2 shops in the sunny coast it works for

  • +2

Used in Perth CBD. Worked for coffee @ Standing Room Only

  • Thank you.

  • +2

Works for Crack café in Adelaide

    • +16

Good to know! Did you try getting some coffee too?

    • Can confirm. A colleague and I ordered from our separate accounts (as it appears you only get 1 free coffee per order). Picked up both from Crack without an issue.

      • looks like it's dead now :<

        • +1

I activated the code yesterday, used it this morning successfully. But could only order 1 coffee. Tried again just now and it wants to charge.

Might check again tomorrow to see if it's just 1 free coffee per day up to 5 in total. If not, uninstalled tomorrow.

  • +17

    5 free covfefes

  • -1

What cafe in canberra this would work for? Around tuggeranong?

    • +1

Download the app and have a look. There are 10 applicable cafes in Canberra.

    • +3

      Tug yer what??
      lol

    • +3

I download this app every time a deal comes up. Only place in Tuggerz is the bowling club. Delete.

      • Not much better in Belco. Couple of chain places and one small place that's OK but nothing great.

  • Thanks OP

  • -2

    doesn't work on new account

    • I created two new accounts (two phones) and it worked on both. Did you go to the sidebar menu and enter the code under 'Redeem Code'?

      • bitesized, is there a section in the app which tells you how many free coffees you have? I only have the confirmation that the code worked but cannot see where it says 5 free covfefes.

        tia

        • +1

I did not test the 5 free coffee limit, but this is how it worked for me:
          * Select Cafe via app
          * Select Coffee and click the tick mark to add to cart
          * Select cart, and total cost will sum to $0.00
          * Click 'Place Order' and the coffee order will be sent through

I assume that after doing it 5 times, the cost will start showing again. Good luck!

        • Don't think you can check this anywhere.

The message shown upon entering the code also doesn't show how many free coffees you get.

      • I believe it does work on new accounts

  • nice one OP. Just got large and extra shot for free at chambers coffee =)

  • +1

    I love you OP

  • +6

Too late to get a coffee but also afraid that next morning they're removing the offer. Lol.

    • +1

From past experiences, as long as you have added the code in your app, they still honor it even if they remove the offer.

      • I hope so!

      • How does it work? I've just installed the app and added the code, will it just remember it when I go to order? or do I have to put it in every time before I order each of my 5 coffees?

        • It remembers it. One way to test if it's still there is to make a dummy order. You should see the discount applied at checkout before you actually commit to the order.
