  • How is this compared to Mi5? Thinking about getting Mi5 then this came out.

    • +2

Snapdragon 820 vs 625, and the sensor is better in Mi5

    • +4

I've got a Mi5 which is a fantastic fone. Its a generation old flagship with the snapdragon 820 which is more powerful than the 625 in the mi5x

Think of the Mi5x as a low-end flagship/high-end midranger. Midrange CPU/SOC, high range camera, screen, build quality. Halfway between the Xiaomi redmi note 4 and the Mi6.

      • I'll also add that the Mi5 has pretty decent ROM support. Official LineageOS, RR and Paranoid Android too. Great little phone with specs similar to the Galaxy S7.

        • Camera?

        • @superforever:

Decent to great camera. There is a version of Google camera that works with HDR processing ported from the Pixel as well as a Snapdragon HDR one on XDA.

        • Just to confirm, this is only for the Mi5 and not the Mi5s right?

        • @ghoulie1: This Mi 5X has the same camera as Mi6. Can I expect the camera be better than Mi5?

        • @peuwayaqdq:

No idea. Newer midrange phone v flagship phone. I'm happy with the Mi5. DYOR.

    • I used mi5 for 6 months loved it so much still regret leaving it dont know about this one but reviews arw good

This phone look like iPhone 7

      The sky is blue.

  • Damn
I just bought this a few days ago.
Do you think I can cancel my order and buy this instead?
    I'd save around $40…

    • If it's been posted, then no.

      • Never mind, I just realised I got the 64GB

  • This or the coming Meizu Note6 ?

    • the weakest link in this phone is battery, i would op for note 4 any time given i need more battery life than power, Maizu blue note 6 has a different camera config, one with super pixel secondary camera for low light simulation not 2X zoom, but it does have excellent battery.

the other advantage it has is the front flash for all those want to take selfies every day …

so over all my best phone is one with 5.5-5.7 inch galaxy note 8/mimix like screen power by 630/660 chip with 4GB ram (any more is a waste til google find ways to waste ram in 9.0 Pie) with dual camera (2X zoom) front flash and 4000+ battery.

  • the camera in this device has a 2 X zoom feature instead of black and white or super pixel
i think the 2 X zoom is better option as it is more useful

i expect 3 to 4 cameras in the phone in the future giving user super wide angle, 2X zoom, 4 X zoom and black and white a the same time.

  • No NFC is the only thing which lets these 5X down :(
