Just found another good deal at boxlots. Finish Max in 1 Tabs @ about $0.10each. I did a price compare, and they sell at Woolworths for 48tab for $20! I've still got 100's of the quantam max from previous deals, but putting this out there for other OzBargainers.

I've purchased from them before without any issues

(They sometimes have some discount codes floating around as well. I found DAD25 for 25% off Coleman camping gear - just dont have the time to see if anything is a bargain in that gear)

      yeah - and at one stage they were all "The best" model lol. Pretty sure the Quantam were selling cheap just because a Quantum 'Ultimate' came along and that model needed to be the best on the back label

    The Rexona is cheaper at coles this week at a half price of 3.50 a can (6 for $21 for comparison)

    Thanks - bought the Quantum Max - was going to buy the other ones but just missed out.

    Going to bin the bulk buy 100 pack Aldi tablets I bought a few months ago. They are the Platinum ones, but leave a residue behind, especially on plastics. Just started using them after my Finish tablets ran out.

    I've heard that these aren't the same as the Platinum ones in the normal small packs which might explain things as the normal ones rank well on the Choice awards. They are the non-dissolvable wrapper version whereas the others are the dissolvable wrapper version.

      Try not to bin the Aldi ones. Offer it to a fellow Ozbargainer first - not me as I'm in Sydney.

        I'll give it a few more tries just to see if it wasn't a dud or one off occurrence, but reading online seems to suggest others have had the same issue too - may be machine dependant.

          Try adding rinse aid to your dishwasher's rinse aid tank. Residue amd streaks often indicate poor run off during the rinse cycle hence the rinse aid…

          I do have rinse aid in the machine, but I could possibly try dialling it up a notch from the current setting.

          All I know so far is that with the current setup the Finish tablets are flawless.

          I don't have too many options on my machine, so unfortunately for the standard cycle I can't dial up the temperature a bit to see if that helps. I'm not too keen on washing everything on the intense 'pots and pans' 70degC cycle.

      I found the platinum ones weren't as good as the plain Aldi logix ones. Also I don't think the choice tests don't point out that the Aldi detergents are very abrasive on some items in the long term use.

        Maybe I'll try those next time around - after these run out, which won't be for a while :p

        I think that I will just try and stick with Finish though as so far they have just worked and just keep an eye out for the deals here.

      I bought the bulk box of Aldi Platinum (so non dissolve wrapper) and noticed something similar regarding residue, but only a hunch so far, like not sure if it's just that frying pan.
      End of the wash has a gritty feel to it.
      We have rinse aid filled, albeit cheapie Woolies one from a while back just to try.

      Our machine is quite customisable like cycle type, water temp, heating and drying fan so maybe I just need to find the right combo

        I've got a feeling the issue is the non-dissolve wrapper variant - possibly they are an older formulation that doesn't work as well.

        I think Finish tablets on special here can work out to be the same or better value wise, so I'll probably just stick to Finish from now on.

    Someone should offer a dishwasher tablet sampler sale haha. Like someone buys a box of each of the good tablets, say Fairy Plat, Aldi Logix Plat, Finish Q. Max, maybe some others, and has a bundle of say a dozen of each.
    I swapped about a dozen Aldi Plat for Quantum Max with a mate to try out. He jokingly said I should give him more cos the Finish was noticeably bigger lol
