Cheapest I've ever seen it. I got one when they were on "sale" for $89 half a year back and it's great quality. The speed control is fantastic, set a speed and it doesn't change depending on load.

Should do the job, you need the right pad depending on paint condition.
I would go with a medium cut pad and meguiars ultimate compound

Turns out there's gazillions of different pads out there and they all depend on the car you're working on and what you want to achieve. Doesn't look like there's a single correct answer to this unfortunately…
I use pads from aliexpress. Works out to be about $2 each when you buy a pack so not bad and decent quality too.
