    Damn, bought two a few weeks ago @ $35. Good units. Can use Home Assistant for automation or YeeMee for ambilight integration w/ Kodi.

      Sufficient for ambient light for walking around your shed, definitely not enough for work.

        Yeah that's what I figured, just want something 12V (so can DIY) but a lot of the kits I find are pretty damn expensive. This would have been perfect. Cheers!

          Yeah, there's a plugin called YeeMee for Kodi which allows them to act as ambilights.

          @The 10th Doctor: I had a look at this demo. It looks like it's somewhat limited in only displaying a single colour rather than a range of colours based on the border colours of the video? I think the add-on more suited for LED bulbs rather than the strip or is that configurable within the plugin?
