Booked direct with airasia 15/4/2018-30/4/2018 SYD-KUL (NSW school holidays) for $287.90 with meal each way, no luggage; daytime flights.

Just noticed you can book KUL-Athens with scoot for $563 return; within the dates above; this would mean; Athens for under $850 (on 'better' airlines to Europe looks like to be about $1000 all up). JNB looks to be cheap too.

Amazing prices for a cheap and friendly city, any chances AirAsia will provide services to BNE in the upcoming future?

    Great prices

Air Asia sales have really opened my eyes about KL.
Its a great destination in its own right - and a great jumnping-off point for SE Asia.

    • This.

Get a cheap fare to KL, then jump over to surrounding countries for cheaper.

      • Looking to visit somewhere a single flight away for a week or 10 days.

        Am currently thinking Langkawi.

        Any suggestions?

Mainly looking for cheap beautiful beach, nature, and scenery.

        • One week in langkawi might get boring. Chiang mai is excellent but is not a beach destination. Popular beaches unfortunately bring hordes of tourists and spoilt nature

        • @tomkun01:

          Ok, thanks.

Will look at Chiang Mai. Basically looking for a Cairns alternative, but with beautiful swimming water.

        • @movieman: the beaches can be disgusting there. Locals just dump their rubbish anywhere and it ends up in the ocean. That being said, there's some very nice snorkelling spots accessible by private boat. I'd say go to langkawi

        • @tomkun01:
          Cheers. Appreciated.

    Awesome prices!

Are there ways around the additional $10 each flight credit card fee?

    • Paypal.

      • Fantastic! Booking now! Thanks all

      • lmao your username! I agree with you. Paypal = no transaction fee. Paid $680 for 2018 Easter long weekend for two adults and +30kg checked in luggage for 1 person each way.

  • Bring on the monsoon, yeehaw.

  • How many days did any of you stay in KL? I am interested.

Malaysia grants a free 90 day tourist visa on arrival to the airport for Australians (and a number of other nationalities)

You won't run out of things to do! It's a beautiful country.

      • Thank you :)

I stayed less than a day. Not much to do in KL. Also the food and bar scene was woeful.

    • Only spend a night or two in KL. Plenty of easy bus or train trips from there. Overnight train to Singapore is fun if you're keen

Really miss AirAsia in Adelaide…. Come bbbaaaaaackkk plleeeeeese!!!!

  • Thanks for the heads up, lots of destinations discounted. DPS-SIN was $115 yesterday, now just $44. Glad I waited.

  • seen it cheaper for $200 4 months ago

  • Has anyone here used Jet* price beat guarantee recently?

In the past that worked a treat, I filled in the form on the website, then was connected to a chat agent after a little wait and all was done and dusted in a few minutes.

Just now I filled in what appeared to be the same web-form. But at the end it did not connect to chat, it just told me they will get back to me via email.

How long does that take? There's only 2 seats left on the AirAsia flight I want to match/beat against. Not sure whether to wait for Jet* for the extra 10% or just go ahead and book AirAsia…

    • I think the '1/2/3 seats left' thing is just made up to get you to impulse buy.

Earlier in the year there was a '1 seat left' offer on a flight to Phuket. Using a private browsing window, I booked it, changed IP via a VPN, restarted the browser and magically there were 3 seats left on the flight at the same price.

      • That's interesting, but I don't think it's happening in this case.

Other days have plenty of seats for that same price (I checked by increasing the number of passengers). This particular day, if I increase the number of passengers, goes up in price for me.

Damn what a bargain, would love to go again just to eat…

  • How does the seating work if I don't "Pick A Seat" and I book three tickets?
