Seems like a pretty good deal for a 6GB model since the $360 ASUS GTX 1060 Dual OC 6GB Card earlier @ https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/324008. Clock speeds are a tad slower than that model, however (@ 1506 MHz base & 1708 MHz boost vs 1594 MHz base & 1809 MHz boost on OC mode).

**Inno3D GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Twin X2 $914.39 @ JW_Computers eBay

Just noticed this 1080 Ti deal from the same store selling the Inno3D GTX 1060 6 GB card that I posted about earlier. The clock speeds are the same as the founders edition. There hasn't been a 1080 Ti around this price for around 2 months now, so it seems pretty decent.

  • almost as good as the deal i got a GTX1060 6GB last november!

  • I went with the Asus GTX1060 6GB Dual as it is available for the same $360 delivered as the previous time. I was happy to pay the $15 premium to get the Asus.

Wish those miners hadn't ruined the pricing on us though.

    • +3

      Link for the lazy: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/362067284350

      Use the same code: PICNIC

      • Is it a decent deal for that price? For 1080/60fps gaming?

        • Card is more than capable. As for price I would say it's good considering current GFX economy.

      • Thanks for your link. Can you advise whether this card helps with running 3x 1920x1080p 60hz and 1x 2560x1080p 60hz monitors?

I'm not playing any games, 4 monitors are for productivity and multitasking like Spreatsheet, browsers, YouTube, light Photoshop editing etc.

My PC specs is currently running Windows 10 with I7-4790, 32GB RAM, 500GB 850 EVO, PSU 750W and Gigabyte GTX 750 2GB. Installing latest Windows 10 update and nVidia graphic driver version. All 4 monitors are plugged into the same graphic card.

With running 4 monitors, I'm experiencing screen shuttering/frame refresh (not sure how to correctly describe it) occasionally, especially lagging or the windows trasition is not smooth when using "Task View" in Windows 10. Occasionally, all monitors are shut down for a few seconds, then turn on immediately after that or BSOD.

Those issues are very annoying given that I need to open and switch between windows/applications constantly.

RAM usage never reached 25gb out of 32gb, and CPU usage is always around max 40%.

Interestingly, by checking GPU usage in GPU-Z, it shows the GPU load is around 10% ongoing or sudden surge to 70-80% when using Task View. Memory is 1.2GB out of 2GB. Temp is 31 degrees.

Do you think my above described issues are due to my weak graphic card? And would upgrading it with the ASUS GTX1060 6GB help?

Thanks a lot and looking forward to your advice.

  • Even with the crash the prices are still so high

  • Not a bad deal since the cheapest 6gb 1060 was $385 from MSY.
