Does anyone know what colours the shoe polishes are?

    • Black and neutral whatever that means.

    • "Black" and "Neutral". No idea what colour neutral is.

      • +4

No colour, generally kind of a translucent polish. For light coloured leather shoes.

      • +6

Neutral is used when you don't have the same colour polish as the shoe, it will shine and won't affect colour.

They also have this 15" laptop briefcase for $19.95. Looks pretty rad. Is Flea Market a JB Hi-Fi brand?

  • There's also a puncture repair kit for $10 as well, if anyone is interested: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/ipods-docks-fitness/Fitness-Access…

      Puncture repair for shoes?

    • Has anyone ever successfully repaired a puncture in a bike tube? I've tried in vain many times and just resign to buying a new tube. They're only like $7 from Wiggle so not too expensive.

      • I have years ago, but I used a hot vulcanised repair where you lit the patch and it would melt on.

Don't even know if they're still available.

      • +1

Many times as a young lad. Proper prep and application was important. Also, cheap kits/patches were generally useless.
Tubes were more expensive back then (or at least for a young lad), patches were a viable option.

        • Biggest issue been the glue would be useless for the next patch i found

        • @DarwinBoy: Depending on the container I guess, the type I used to use had a screw top lid with a brush attached to lid. Worked well.

        • @DarwinBoy:

Same as dheywood. Mine have always lasted about 3 or so years, probably 15 patches. It's not like superglue which hardens up after a few months.

        • @dheywood:
Mum either bought me budget packs or 10yo me was a little slack with the glue.

        Yes, usually quick and easy.

        1) Find the hole
        2) Scrape the surrounding area (especially if beside a seam, which can let air through).
        3) Place light layer of cement, wait til touch dry (about 10 min) - size of patch
        4) Place patch over cement. Ready to use straight away.

        • I'll consider trying to repair my next punctured tube.

        • Spot on!! Done it heaps of times.

  • how many grams is each shoe polish?

    • +5
