Came across this freebie this morning. Free food with free delivery, you can't go wrong. I was a little hesitant when it asked for my card details however I have called and confirmed with Aussie Farmers that their wouldn't be any reoccurring charges. The order goes through as a " Once off ". If you spend more than $50.00 your card will be charged the amount you went over. My friend has already received her meals and can confirm she wasn't charged at all.

    Make sure it is set to 'Once-Off' and not 'Weekly'.

    I got an email confirmation stating the item price and the discount with a final total of $0. Code worked perfectly.

    Make sure you change it to once off only unless you plan on repeating the order again.

    Cashrewards tracked in at $12.50.

    Okay I did one for me and the missus. We well see how it goes. The small writing not the promo code said one per person but did not mention household.

    Never sure if to like these deals before I get my items.

    I forgot to use PricePal on one of the orders.

    they got to be making a loss, I do not intend on purchasing any meals afterwards and I'm pretty sure 99% of us won't. Is the 1% worth it for the business? I guess they can tell their shareholders that they have increased signups by 500%.

    paid by Paypal and have no idea if it was accepted after being redirected back from paypal.

    The meal sits in the cart and the button is greyed out but says Confirmed, but no email and nothing in the orders part of My Account.

  • I called them to ask about the full price being shown in the email, they said they had issues with confirmation emails but not to worry the discount will definitely be applied.

  • Yeah. What an awful website. I successfully put the order through and got an email. Paid through paypal and had the same issue as above with the confirmation button, however AFD showed up in my recurring payments section, which I have subsequently cancelled. Also got tracking confirmation email from cashrewards. Hopefully it all goes through. Looks like I got in just in time.

    On the website it says 'You may amend your order right up until noon,
    the day before your delivery.'

    So to me, that would indicate that the ongoing billing arrangement through paypal is necessary, as it will bill you at noon on the day before delivery for whatever your cart is showing at that time.

    I would suspect that if you already cancelled the arrangement through paypal, it will be declined and your order wont be delivered.

    The greyed out 'confirmed' box is simply letting you know that they have received your order as shown.

    Very confusing, but probably by design.
    The key is to ensuring that 'once off' is selected and once your order is billed the day before delivery, to then cancel the authority.

    • Got my order - Two boxes of fruit. Not worth the regular price, but alright for $6. Also ordered some grocery items and strangely they came in an eski-bag, despite them not needing to be chilled. Panicked and thought I might get charged the $10, however it hasn't showed on PayPal and have cancelled billing authority.

    I got mine this morning. Geeze it's a full box full of fresh meat and ingredients. How can they afford this!?
    I'm actually pretty impressed with the box.

    Good news: no esky bag. Just had Ice packs on the meat. I've checked, No charge at all !

      Same. Opened the door this morning to find the box. It is full of goodies and with 3 good sized ice packs that'll come in handy for other things.

      I ordered the $49.50 porterhouse steak and they sure weren't stingy on the sizes!

      • Likewise, nice looking cardboard box sitting at the front door at 5:30am when I got up. Packed it all in the fridge for dinner tonight.
        I got the $49.50 one with steak, pear and broccolini. Recipe calls for 1 clove of garlic but I got a whole head of garlic, nice!

      Ok, on chat with AFD atm, and apparently some delivery drivers are running a bit late this morning, as they had 8000 new customers from yesterday's promo.

        • That's the term AFD used - he didn't want to leave it at the front of my apartment block at 4am - thought it might get pinched. All good now though - chat support organised for him to bring it around again at 3pm this afternoon, so it's all worked out in the end!

    Just wanted to say it is actually a fantastic service - ordered yesterday around 10:30am received my box this morning no issues all items were as ordered. Quite impressed with the packing, timeliness of delivery and quality of items.

    THAT BEING SAID!

    I could never purchase these products at current prices, while the quality and service is good they are just far to expensive. BUT I would potentially be open to ordering some if the prices were reduced (even if delivery took another day or two).

  • I just received an email saying my order has been cancelled and my account has been deactivated, because an account at the address already exists. That other account is my housemates account. She cooks her own food and does her own thing, so I find it a bit unfair that they'd just deactivate my account without considering it was my own personal account. Just because we live at the same address doesn't mean we're in cahoots together…

    plus didn't this first promo code say per person, not per household. they've changed it to household on the new promo code

    lets face it,if thousands applied for this offer how would they be able to supply ALL the orders,those people that could not get through there must be a limit amount of $ and products made available otherwise they would /could bankrupt them selves,IT'S called "bait advertising", I myself would never purchase anything from business's that use these tactics,

  • Anyone order Herb and fetta stuffed chicken? I ordered 2p pack with a 4-5p pack of the chicken pesto pasta bake.

    Does anyone know if the Herb and fetta stuffed chicken breast weigh 250g EACH or 250g total. As I got 500g but that is listed under the 4-5p pack.

    I'm a little confused, not that it makes any difference as we do eat like pigs. 😂

    Still waiting for my delivery that was supposed to come this early morning. Tried calling them, but it went straight to voicemail with the message that their office is closed and to call before 1pm AEST…even though its 12pm AEST right now. Same with their online chat. They had no issues charging me on time though, lucky only $2.

    Isn't convenience one of the main benefits of this service? Easier and cheaper to just go to the shops.

  • Never had anything turn up but still received a tax invoice email when it should have been delivered. I wouldn't be totally surprised if they just secretly canceled a bunch of orders….

    I was SMS'ed yesterday to say the person should arrive 3:30am for delivery. I made myself available from 3:15am because, well, there is no traffic at this time so I'd assume no such excuses haha. Anyways, I saw the guy rock up at 4am and he took his time getting everything ready which I'd gather to be good and bad in terms of service.

    I was happy that delivery included a nice bag and ice packs which would have lasted if I couldn't personally collect the delivery. Anyways, opened the rest of it… and there was half the chicken and beef than what was ordered. Instead of the Freshbox Protein Plus Pack 5 Meals for 4 (contents include 2x Chicken - Skinless Breasts - 2 X 250gm, 1x Bacon - Short Cut 175g, 2x Beef - Rump Steak 2x250g), there was 1 piece of chicken, 1 piece of steak and 175g of bacon.

    Ok yes, this was effectively a freebie. BUT you would expect the fact they offer $50 worth of food, confirm the order and deliver it, they'd provide what they offer right? How can you evaluate their full service to then jump on board if they don't get it right the first time? Probably won't ever use the service again and have already removed from PayPal subscriptions.

    TLDR: 30 mins late, cool bag, ~1/3 the food :(

      • I gave them a call and they said they'd run out of the meal I'd requested. I should have received a text, but I didn't for some unknown reason.

        Since I'm going overseas soon, they applied a $50 credit to my account and I can place a new order when I return.

  • I made an order for both me and the missus. Order confirmations and summaries were given for both order. But I wake up to only 1 delivery. The other order has now disappeared from the 2nd profile.

    In hindsight I was smart enough, possibly should have chosen another day to make the delivery.

    • I received an email saying they had run out of the item i had order but they gave me credit for the items value.

      I really appreciate that but it would have been nice to have been informed without having to be proactive.

    Last night's dinner - walnut pesto turned out really good. Its what we have brought for lunch today. Yay!

  • My order turned up this morning. I ordered Cajun Chicken and Sausages with Mash. NO SAUSAGES. No Cajun seasoning. Yes it's a freebie, but I can't make either meal! I used to order from Aussie and stopped because of this. Yes the quality is great, but often large chunks of your order are missing; you order and pay for 3 avocados, get none, get some extra onions thrown in! Bad enough with the fruit & veg orders, but what is the point of ordering a 'meal box' especially at these prices, when essential ingredients are missing :(

  • Was meant to be delivered this morning. Checked the front of my house at 5am and nothing came.

    Only thing I got from them was a reminder email two days ago.

    • I made two orders one for me and one for my wife. We both got the reminder email a couple of days before the order was meant for delivery. But only I got the SMS confirmation and the actual delivery today.

      Her order had even disappeared from the account. She sent an email, no reply at this stage.

      • They replied and gave her credit.

    I know many of us come here for discounted Bose headphones and 1 cent microfibre towels, but IMO this was a pretty cool deal to be part of and no doubt at a significant cost to AFD.

    While I assume most people here won't choose to become regular customers with AFD, I hope that most can at least give them some useful feedback about their experience with their order.

    The local manager for my area texted me a few days after delivering my order to check how I went. If - like me - you're not going to be signing up as a regular customer, my reply that I sent below might give you an idea of how to convey this nicely.



    Hi Jeff, thanks for checking up. It was a couple of days before I could make that recipe, but it turned out ok in the end.

    I think it's worth noting that the pork loin steaks supplied were probably too thin for that recipe IMO - a bit too thin for pocketing and stuffing, which made the process quite fiddly. The picture on the recipe card shows steaks that are thicker, and would be better suited I think. The ingredients overall were fine though - fresh and tasty.

    After roughly comparing your prices with that of my local shop, the premium involved in using your service rather than shopping for myself is a bit beyond what I'd be comfortable spending, so I can't see myself becoming a regular customer of AFD, unfortunately.

    Thank you again for your great service though - it was much appreciated, and I'm glad I gave AFD a try.

  • Got my order this morning - came in a cardboard box with ice packs (no esky, no charge). It was dropped off at the front door of my apartment.
    Would have been good to get an email or sms when delivery occurred, as I'm usually up late and can go out and get it when it's delivered.

    I ordered the Porterhouse Steak w Caramelized Cauliflower and Walnut Pesto Mushroom & Rocket Linguine, all the ingredients came and some I was even supplied more than the recipe called for. Haven't had time to cook it yet but ingredients seem fine, though some not quite as fresh as if I had gotten them myself.

    "Running out of Duck Breast"! Got the delivery box outside my front door this morning. All the salad and sides were well packed with ice packs. However, got a notice saying "Sorry, we run out of duck breast"! So a pack full of sides and salad but no main course for dinner tonight.
    Well, can expect much because it is free…..

  • Finally got the lamb chops delivered today. The sweet potatoes, whole garlic and green beans are nice and fresh. Box is well packed with plenty of ice packs keeping the chops nice and fresh.

    Overall the quality of the product is great but service wise, it's not up to par.

    Never received a message, email or call saying that the Tuesday delivery was cancelled due to insufficient ingredients. Called and only got through to an answering machine. Only when questioned via email they rescheduled it to Friday.

    Would give them a go again if the prices were lower.

Waited 7 days and then sent an enquiry through CR to try and claim it, and they've replied today with the following:

    Seems inconsistent with what others have reported previously in these comments - has anyone else been knocked back?

  • Got my box, no extra charge thankfully. Very generous with the herbs, despite only needing 1tbs of rosemary I got a massive bunch of that and of oregano. Got the Mediterranean lamb chops. The recipe was really strange however, I prefer HelloFresh recipes but AFD produce. Basically ended up with soggy wet capsicum strips in the baking tray.

    • Had the Mediterranean lamb chops again last night (got 4 serve, cooked as 2 x 2 serve). Enjoyed. Not soggy wet capsicum strips in the baking tray. Browned off capsicum, onion & chops nicely before placing in oven proof dish for 15 minutes.

      Found recipe easy to follow, but best to read over first as steps like preheating oven did not need to be done so early. Also recipe calls for quantities like leaves from bunch of oregano - it was a very big bunch so varied some measures.
      Some assumed knowledge required. Could be better communicated. Maybe a video of each recipe could be done, which would be handy when cooking & useful in decision making before purchase.

      Pork stuffed with roast capsicum dip, wrapped in prosciutto with ratatouilie unfortunately is supplied without the roast capsicum dip (a major ingredient unlikely that people have on hand). Started preparing it & needed to go to shop just to buy dip. Otherwise great.

      Have been having plenty of other meals with all the left over yummy fresh ingredients.

      Have put rosemary twigs in water to see if will strike, so can plant them.
