Do you ever go to the Nimbin MardiGrass festival, it's on my bucket list?

Mullum Woolies later too, will report back

        You won't come back.

        • It's rather over hyped to be fair.
Not a bad little festival all things considered though. I think I would recommend it if you are coming this way.

        • @Originality:

I live in Port Stephens which is a fair way away but it's something I want to do.

Will definitely get around to it one day.

        • @Scab: go for a coastal trip :) Time it for as many different events along the coast as you can

        • @Originality:

Yeah, would be an awesome drive from my area.

        • I'll be back…

        • Went to Nimbin last year, just went for the regular markets (4th and 5th Sundays every month) and there was plenty to check out if you have never been to a town like that (which you absolutely wouldn't have lol)

        • @lordezekiel:

I considered buying a place there before I bought my place at Port Stephens a few years ago.

Decided against it as it looks like a nice place to visit but I don't think I could live there.

          @lordezekiel: Only in a re-run!

        • Nimbin! I was actually born there, and the house was on a road called Gungas Road… (replace the g with a j!)
And to top it off Dad was having an argument with the local doctor and refused to take Mum there, so I was born in the bathtub.
But the whole community (this is going back 30 odd years!) was full hippies where the women loved playing the midwife role anyway.

And no, unfortunately this is not made up. But I'm happy to tell that to people, it sure beats everyone thinking I was born in Tassie (that's another story, but no bargains involved so not posting that here!)

      • Woo.
Always reading about the people from major cities on here. Good to see theres some locals for for our smaller group of towns :)

  • Local Woolworths still had them, but either the box or lid was cracked.
