Logitech G403 Wireless Mouse $74.50 @ JB Hi-Fi

130

Got a email with the new MEGA Games Sale and saw it had the Logitech G403 Wireless for 74.5. Which isn't to shabby a price for it. If their have been cheaper do tell but seem pretty good good value.

  • Really nice price for it. Got it at $92 when JB had it on sale earlier this year. Mouse is nice too. Battery lasts a fair while and charges to max fairly quickly too. And to my eyes, latency is non-existent.

    • I thought so too, decent mouse for the price till the g403 update the G703 gets near this price

Harvey Norman have it for $47 https://www.harveynorman.com.au/games-gaming-consoles/gaming…
Bing Lee has it for $59 https://www.binglee.com.au/logitech-910-004826-g403-prodigy-…

After searching through StaticIce, JB Hi-Fi has the most expensive price from all retailers.

Lol. That is the wired version on both links. Do a little more research next time buddy

    • Unfortunately, Logitech use 'G403' for both corded and cordless variants. You're referring to the corded versions, which are expected to be cheaper than the post's wireless one.

Dude the HN G403 is the non wireless edition they are named the same model G403! And Again the Bing lee is the non wireless edition G403 just read bit more carefully.

Next time research their is two variants of the mouse lol

      • Yes I was halfway through making an edit to my comment. It was my bad and I apologise.

        • @ZachBlasphemy: It is cool :), Logitech is funny with why they chose the same model naming scheme for both anyway G403 for both wireless and non wireless :)

        • @Perth Sucks: good price but that rrp is so inflated
Had it for about 2 months' battery last about a week of heavy use with no lights on, response time is almost comparable to wired, comfortable for my hand, I have a claw/palm grip.

          Cons
Wish there was a spot for usb to fit in mouse so it is portable

Good mouse that is wireless for the money

        • @Bargain4Days: >response time is almost comparable to wired

Are you explaining to us that you can tell the difference between 1ms lag and whatever wired lag is?

  • Great price for a great mouse

  • Good mouse. i lost my receiver though ):

    • @Save Medicare: Damn! Can you seek Logitech, asking kindly in terms of getting a new one :)

      • Not gonna work, I tried asking Logitech if I could at least buy the receiver, they just told me to look for spare parts on ebay.

  • Nice mouse. Had my eye on it for a while before swooping on an OzBargain deal at JB. Ergonomic, nice weight, and good for gaming.

  • Love this Mouse … battery has to be charged about 1-2 times a week. Can be Solved if you just get into the habit of plugging in AFTER you finished gaming every time

    • @gankmeplz: yea if you dont use it should be draining unless light on. But even with light on if dont use it much should be solid if use it more then 4 hours or so fair enough. Yea i plug it in even if dont need charge to top it up

  • seems expensive…although probably not a fair comparison i paid about 67 for my G710.. How does this mouse stack up against it?

    • Dude G710 is a keyboard you can't compare a keyboard g710 to a mouse lol. Also if you think it's expensive maybe do research lol

      • my bad i meant the G700S

        • Oh i seem i was going to say lol. Well it's like 5 x times better what I mean is its the G900 sensor and tech as in no to virtual same lag as wireless i.e. non. The G700S is dated now and adding for inflation its pretty good the G403

        • @Perth Sucks: I dont think "dated" is a justification for better. Many gamers still prefer the MX518 even though its like 10 years old. I've had the opportunity to use and test the G508 and although its nice, I dont find my G700S inferior.

Does anyone have both they could offer their insights?

        • @nairdajun: Tech wise its dated the g403 or wireless has caught up to wired mouses which is huge!

        • @Perths Crap: The G700S has an 'always on' mode that pretty much eliminates input lag. Thanks for your post, but it doesn't seem like a step up enough to justify buying for me. Perhaps I will wait for the price of the G903 to come down.

        • @nairdajun: or could of bought the g403 lol. Look up the g700s vs g403. The g700s or any mouse pre the g900 sensor and r & d had issue with lag and keeping up i mean really fast rate lol

        • @Perths Crap: The G700S is capable of 1000hz/ or reports/second, which makes it have a 1ms response rate. 1ms is faster than most monitors will handle (2ms), so polling rate of 500 is more than sufficient. As long as your mouse is capable of handling more reports than your monitor can handle, any more is a joke. Its not measurable, and visually not distinguishable.

Unless you can produce an article in which someone has gone to lengths testing the input lag on the G700S, I don't think you understand how capable the G700S is. I have both a G700S and a G502, there no perceivable difference in performance in wired mode.

Ive used the G700/G700S for many years, and played games like BF4 and have never found input lag to be a problem. Maybe in the days of the MX700 or MX1000 but not with the G700/700S. And i prefer the shape of the G700S

The G403 is being discontinued by Logitech in favour of the G703, Binglee just had the G703 for about $79.

        • @nairdajun: Not being disconnected still sold dude, phased out if anything depending if the whole wireless charging takes off. It's great to hear the g700s is/was a great mouse. Just saying Logitech puts heaps of money into Research and development so doubt an older mouse is better off, maybe comparable. But newer tech is better for a reason lol. Last mouse I loved was the G7 that is older then g700s but never really liked anything till the g900/g403 sensor/tech. As i skipped the g700s/g502 generation. Their is lag or shall i say interference with older mouse's that is the real issue, not the perceivable lag. As interference is a thing and so is distance that is what my focus was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQxw-pX4dak

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQxw-pX4dak The G403 has the same sensor and tech but takes away the fancyness of the g900. But yes no perceivable difference perhaps and if that works for you that is fine and don't need to spend extra money. But this is great mouse for the price if you need an upgrade or new mouse lol.

Check this dude out too https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGJaDZC7PChgd-XMwcbZkiw he goes in depth into mouse reviews, so if you are a mouse fan you will appreciate it as not many go that deep
