Hi Ozbargainers,

Just found NETGEAR Smart WiFi Router AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit (R6300v2) on Amazon for US $49.97 with US $12.22 delivery, which is considering RRP was around AUD $170-190 and they are still for sale for A$150+ on eBay looks like an amazing price for this EOL but still very capable router with great community support.

Edit: Price went up to US$ 55.28, still a bargain in my opinion.

  • I wonder if it comes with a US power adapter only or if it's one of those power adapters which you can change with different countries power plugs.

    • If you search this router on eBay USA people are selling them with both laptop style brick and wall wart, so I guess it'll be a surprise.

      • Does it make any difference to use in Australia? I'm thinking it should have no issues as long as you have an adapter?

  • does anybody know how this compares to the asus rt 68u

  • DD-WRT?

  • how do you get $49.97? i get $55.28

    • Yeah it's $55.28 USD now. I suppose the price went up slightly.

  • I'm not very router savvy, does this support VDSL / NBN? Tried googling but not a clear answer.

    • FTTP will work, FTTN/VDSL not.

      • thanks mate!

      • why wont FTTN work? is it the same technology just slower speeds?

I understand that DSL wont work.

        • FTTN is VDSL2. Because it doesn't have a VDSL2 modem in it so it won't work. This is just a router.

  • Hi is this still a reasonable deal at the current price of ~70USD (~$90AUD) + delivery or would the or the other popular router deal at the moment, Rebranded RT-AC68U be a better buy? Or maybe I need neither, I currently have a billion 7800vdpx and stuggles to get a decent signal through to my bedroom. I bought a pair of TP-Link TL-PA8010P powerline from another recent deal and was thinking of sticking either one of these routers on the end of it in my bedroom. Is this even possible? I basicall would like to stream stuff from my android to chromecast.

    Cheers
