This is a referral not a bargain!

    • Yes this is a referral but gives new customers a $50 cashback- something they would not receive elsewhere or directly.

  • Not much "internet choice" if the only choice available is TPG

    • This offer is specific to TPG but we do offer a comparison of hundreds of plans from a range of providers across Australia.

They get paid commission to sign people up to 24 month plans which they pay you a small portion.

I don't get all the negs, Yes they getting more than $50 from your signup… But thats how all referral/cashback sites work. If you could get $50 off with a referral via a different method thats less complicated then sure that would be better but until someone points out a better cashback/easier process this is a good deal.

They share AAPT's bandwidth and are the slowest around. Plus call centre support.

      • I was with Iinet in the old days when they were really good.

After TPG took them over, it all went south, tethering my mobile gave me a more reliable and faster service than they provided with ADSL.

Whirlpool forums is a good place to research as well.

Yeah used to have TPG ADSL2+ slow as hell.

Did it occur to you that maybe mobile internet got way faster and better as the technology improved rather than your home internet getting worse?

        • That's a really unintelligent comment

Why does TPG charge $20 deposit and then never refund?

I moved out of TPG last month and feel so happy.. I have already reported to TIO for TPG grabbing my deposit money.

    • It was in the T&C's you agreed to when you signed up. I'm with TPG and I don't like it either, but there wasn't any choice. Even with them stealing $20 off me for phone calls in advance I will never make, they were still the cheapest option. Other T&C's of theirs I didn't like but had to accept were a $10 delivery charge for a 'free' modem I didn't want and didn't take and having to sign away all my consumer rights to financial compensation when they fail to deliver the service I've bought.

All ISP's are the same so you have no choice. If you don't sign away your consumer rights, no-one will provide you with service. Simple as that. How this is legal I have no idea, but apparently it is. Same with demanding payment in advance for things you may or may not ever use and then refusing refund when you in fact don't buy them. How that's legal too is beyond me!

Was with tpg very slow. But what is worse it is so difficult to leave. Multiple phone calls hours on hold then have to send emails in a ridiculous convoluted process. Avoid

Those complaining about speed… you do realise this has in all likelihood got nothing to do with TPG at all? I've just finally managed to hopefully solve a line connection problem this morning after 3 weeks of complaining to TPG about it. TPG loves to blame-shift the problem to the customer as much as possible before they'll involve Telstra, but you can say the exact same thing about every other ISP. I was with iiNet before TPG and they were exactly the same. It's always your house/equipment/wiring before they'll consider blaming Telstra. You always have to go to the ends of the earth to prove it's not your fault before they'll even start to talk to Telstra.

  • I can beat this offer by giving $51 cash back to whoever signup to a new TPG Plan with dealer code ##### AND there is no expiry date.
The dealer code is masked because I am not allowed to advertise here.

I just cancelled TPG internet last 3 weeks. I had 3 accounts with them for many years. I switched to Optus, 2 Optus cable and 1 ADSL. The speed is much faster than TPG and I am paying the same fee $60/month for 1 address service.
