  • Any particular reason for this over others? Just curious because it seems like a good deal and I'm contemplating it

  • wouldnt the backlit keys drain the batteries real quick

    • Nah, lasts ages - it only stays on for 5 seconds as it has a proximity sensor inbuilt.

      • Battery is also rechargeable built in.

You just connect a phone charger to charge it back up.

It has a power switch on top you can turn off. I use one in my bedroom and Ned to watch the dog doesn't walk on it :)

  • Got the MX800 Performance from Computer Alliance for $115 at last eBay sale.

  • My comment was unpublished apparently due to affiliate link? I copied from my camel x 3 link. Anyway here you go https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Illuminated-Living-Room-Keyb… - touchpad version, i have one and batt lasts for months.

  • Bought this keyboard back in 2013 and the rechargeable battery lasted around 3 years which was pretty impressive. Only had to plug it in to recharge once every 4-5 weeks, and once every week and half towards the end.

Keyboard itself has soft touch keys so I found it easy to make typos. On the bright side, the click of the keys are soft. Nothing else to fault, 4 years on and still going strong.

    • I've had mine for years. Spilt a fresh cup of hot tea over it and a Performance MX mouse within the first fortnight. Gave them both a good drain then clean and they've worked flawlessy, up until a month ago when the left-shift died.

      • Yeah my pretty alt died and had to replace :(

  • I own two of these and they both contain 2 AA Eneloops straight from the factory. Should be the OzB keyboard of choice.
