what would the performance be of this, compared to say a ipad?
No competition, any modern iPad would smoke it.
The OS is much heavier than iOS. The iPad is smoother. Though I would argue that the A11 would run Windows 10 pretty poorly if you forced it to.
It really depends what you are trying to do. I would not want to do any productivity work on an iPad. It doesn't support a mouse or track pad, so you don't even have a cursor.

Yeah, probably be a safer choice to spend a bit extra and get the Dell Inspiron 11 3000.
DOA is covered it is not your responsibility to ship it back to China it's their responsibility. Your covered by ACCC and eBay so there is no doa risk.

Actually, the batteries in laptops are quite removable. They say non removable for a lot of laptops but it does one require to open up the chassis, undo more screws to reach the battery and then unplug one internal power delivery cable to free it.
The trick is to find a suitable replacement on Aliexpress next. I found a replacement for my 4 year old HP Elitebook Folio which is a high end Core i7 ultrabook just by searching the part number.
Apple Macbooks are a notable exception. The battery is sometimes glued down requiring extreme patience and a heat gun to melt the glue beforehand. But I haven't noticed any usage of glue on other laptops.

I've had no problems with them, what's your problem with them?
Gusper they sent me a quadcopter with a burnt out motor and mud on the props.Three guys that I work with received faulty items also.
