Was looking to buy a camera. Just wondering can let the seller to list camera as sporting goods?

  • +3

Many sellers must have known about this, as there are quite a non few items (portable bbq equipment in my case) in the sporting goods section that are now 15ish% above what they were listed for just the other day.

  • Damn it. Bought a treadmill on Ebay last week!

    • Check to see if they have jacked up price before the discount. Would make you feel better if they did

      • +4

No, I actually put it in the cart and applied the code to confirm how much I could actually save for waiting a few days more, then slapped myself hard before making the comment.

        • Here is where the Coles master card with account cover plus would have come in handy with the price protection.

        • @rtgn: Thanks. But I don't think this Ebay promotion would be covered, as the merchant's price didn't change.

        • +1

@mily: I have claimed eBay voucher based Price reduction. The most recent one yesterday for 5% off with a purchase done with gearbite eBay. This was an Australian seller but I'm not sure if the insurance provider really checked that. They approved my claim.

        • @rtgn: Good to know that. Unfortunately I did not use my Coles card. However my Westpac black CC seems to have something similar for a much shorter period, will check if I can claim some money back with them.

That leads me to the next question, are trench coats part of sporting and adventure?

        • With the advent of Snapchat and the like, I dont think trenchcoats is a thing anymore

anyone familiar with 2xu compressions or compression tights in general? i'm interested in buying a pair http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mens-Athletic-Compression-Base-la… but im unfamiliar with the replica market for these! Any opinions into the legitimacy of these would be appreciated! thanks

    • +1

They look like fakes to me, though I could be wrong.

If you want a cheap pair of compression pants, you could try Kmart. I think they have them for around $15-$20. They're not top tier but they do the job nicely, depending on what you want them for. I use mine under motorcycle leathers.

I believe cheaper ones and knocks offs would be thinner as well. I BSC shorts and some cheap Spalding ones and the Spalding ones are much easier to move around in.

    • I have the 2xu compression tights, and I dont benefit from them in terms of recovery or performance. They do look good, fit nice, and breathe well.

      • +1

mainly want them to stop the chafing of my inner thighs!

    • +1

I bought those same ones a week or so ago , I think they might just be last season or something , dont appear to be fake , pretty well made with draw string and inner pocket etc. Im happy with them for forty bucks

      • thanks! can i just ask a few questions about the product? Where were they made? what is the material composition? (%nylon/%elastane) did it come with tags? and also if you sized up or went with your normal size thanks LOL

        • +1

Material , dont know (sorry) - tags yes , and appeared authentic or at least not a terrible copy and was in a zip lock bag but the plastic "zip" had come away from one edge. Leads me to think they are original but maybe ex floor stock or something. Definite they were brand new though. I found the 2XU size chart somewhere which marks size to weight on two axis. Im 5'11" 95kg and dropped pretty obviously into their Large category so I went with that and it was fine. Hope that helps :)

  • No Apple Watch as seems. Should be here due to sporting and adventure too
