want us to use Optus? Simple, do following:
    1. Include international call in your plan
    2. Fix coverage issue

      Coverage issue?
Optus' network is second biggest in the country! (it's only half as big as Telstra's network cover but still)

      • And SingTel have the largest number of satellites in the Southern Hemisphere. Telstra pays to use them and Optus pays to use some of Telstra's ground network.

I think he means in terms of overallocation.
It's a poor network with frequent dropouts and slow data in high use areas.

if u tried 3 then u should know the real meaning of 'coverage issue'

    • Also:

-> 3. Fix the speed of the network (by reducing traffic)

EDIT: Freaky auto re-numbering feature :P

    24 month contract?
    No thank you…

    • So you'd rather pay more, just so you aren't locked in with a Telco with a great approval rating?

    • EDIT: Double Post. Stupid capped internet.

      • Then increase your plan as I'm sure OzB already help you save $$$ :)

        • Ordered a ADSL2+ modem and an Airport Extreme last night. As soon as they arrive I am upgrading to a TPG ADSL2+ off-net plan. :)

  • You get the same thing at Harvey norman

    + 12 month contract
    + free call to virgin
    + tethering?

    • If you call up regularily and complain after signing up regarding tethering, you'll eventually get it free :)

tethering is free on the new optus caps, n they do have 12 mth plans but ud have to pay extra for the fone, or you expect to get a $800-$1k phone free n a 12 mth $49cap?

      • LOL in that case then … similar or same price as Voda, ie. HTC Desire HD :)

    • The whole free call, virgin to virgin thing is a load of bollocks to me. If your calling someone so often that you can't afford it and you need free calls, you may as well drive to their place, and talk there.
Optus' $59 cap plans come with unlimited texts and calls to ANY network in Australia, good enough I think.

Oh. And tethering was made free.

      • sorry had to clarify, the new optus 59 cap does come with unlim text to ANY network but no free calls. the 59 extreme cap is a plan for the iphone 4 and it comes with unlimt text to any1 but you also get Unlim calls to OPTUS mobiles and landline (not anyone).
