        Some differences in the buttons (a badly designed physical switch on the mini) and also less powerful speakers. Functionality is the same.

    It'll work fine just on it's own, but you won't be able to control it from your phone.

    I think reminders that you set on it will sync with the Google app if you have it installed on your phone though? You'll have to double check that online
