Also $1 at Aldi NSW at the moment. My local Coles had really sad, wrinkly-looking asparagus, not sure if it's just that store.
Edit: To clarify, the advertised catalogue price for asparagus at Aldi this week is $1.49, but was $1 in-store.
Same, my local Coles has the worst fruit and veg.
Although the asparagus season has only just started so quality may improve.

Australian asparagus is in season at the moment, I'd expect it to be Australian but that's not very helpful if ordering online since you can't check the label …

Labeling laws need to be updated for online shopping as you can't inspect the packaging.
Grocery shopping is most problematic.
