If paired with an Xbox yes - not sure if this one has bluetooth - suspect not which means you'll need the microsoft dongle if using on a PC. Personally … pay a bit extra for the bluetooth enabled one.

Controller with 3.5 headphone jack has Bluetooth.
When I paired mine with portable USB bluetooth, it was not smooth. headphone voice was laggy as hell.
Plugged controller via micro USB and it works great. I do have the Microsoft dongle, but have not tried it for play plus sound.

I stand corrected … I thought most of the black controllers werent bluetooth enabled. Trust me not to fully read the listing. Thanks all for pointing it out

Cmon do you really thing that an Xbox One controller is hard-wired? Microsoft has never made a hard wired Xbox One Controller, nor has Playstation for the PS4.
It literally says wireless in the listing title and throughout the description. And what, am I going to have a wire sticking out not connected to anything if I play via Bluetooth? Or if I want to play on my Xbox..?
Really don't understand where you're getting this "wired connection" only thing from… You get a micro-usb cable that you can use to plug in to your computer or console if you don't have batteries. It's as simple as that.
