Good deal for those who missed out on the last 20% off Deals: Here , Here & Here.

But keep in mind the new 970 & 980 SSDs are set to release soon: Tom's Hardware - Samsung's Next Gen NVMe SSDs Appear Online.

Plus prices on Flash Storage are still high at the moment with restrictive supply. Nonetheless, this is still the best consumer-grade Nvme SSD money can buy, and any real-world performance difference between the next gen models is likely negligible (for day-to-day tasks).

  • Good price if you know you need one, but note for those considering buying: unless you're a power user, specifically someone who uses their PC for workflow tasks with large files such as video editing, you won't see much of a performance benefit from a NVMe drive over a sata3 2.5 inch SSD, let alone a higher end NVMe drive like this one. If all you do is play games and want your OS to boot fast, this is seriously overkill.

    • Overkill is good.

      • Except when you consider these drives have limited write cycle and degrades when large amount of small files are being written daily.

    • Yeah i upgraded from 850 evo to this and didnt notice any difference in everyday use.

      • BENCHMARKS WOO!

  • Not a bad deal at all for the "PRO" version, especially if you have an upcoming trip overseas, knock off another 9.3% off the price.

  • Can I put this in the Xiaomi 13.3 second ssd slot?

    • No, The secondary slot is a M.2. SATA slot. Your better of getting a Samsung 850 EVO, Crucial MX300 or Sandisk x300 (M2). These will work, though max speed is limited to SATA 3 Speeds (around 500 mbps).

      • Ah I see, thanks for that. What's the best out of those three you reckon?

        • Performance wise doesn't matter too much, so just go with whatever is cheapest/available. For around $200 you can get Crucial MX300, Samsung EVO 850 or WD Blue (Sandisk) at 500GB. Samsung has slightest of performance edge but honestly not noticeable, just pick the cheapest of those, all have good pricing/warranty.

        • Thanks for that,
