Josh, give us a deal on the cosmolite bags again please!

This is a brilliant offer on a brilliant cabin bag. I bought one a couple of weeks ago for $148 (including delivery) and that was the best price that I could find. But still it is such a good bag, that I am not sorry. Once upon a time I would never have bought a soft sided bag because they used to be so heavy.

There's quite a few negative reviews on this product. Has anyone got any experience with this bag? Also, I know this is a cabin bag but can it withstand the abuse of checking in?

    • Been using it for nearly a year and a heavy traveller - no complaints and not a bad word to say in fact

Wheels not as smooth (rolling wise) as when I bought it, but probably due to the fact I’ve been off road with it

Edit - paid $157.50 delivered last Nov

here is my review from a previous post. Great bag, but I would not check it in regularly. It would dirty fast and isn't easy to clean, but it would generally survive being checked in.

I think the negative reviews are attributed to the larger sizes in this 72 hours design. They're pretty flimsy and don't survive.

Make the most of your cheap flight cabin allowance! No point paying for a cheap cabin bag and finding out it weighs 3.5Kg. When your carry on allowance is 7Kg you don't want to use half of that up on the actual bag. You do still need to be careful, it's easy to pack over 12kgs into this because the internal space is very efficient.

I've had this for two years and 150+ flights so I can safely say it's a great bag, it has been through hell and dragged many kilometres. Only hiccup was a flight when I had to check it in as it was overweight. Wheel was damaged with a big gouge in the plastic and damage to the axle, bag still rolled, but wasn't perfect. I was able to buy a genuine replacement wheel assembly for $15 from a local Samsonite repair.

  • Should I order this? How good the quality is?

I have this bag, in navy. Its great. So light!

The handle feels a bit fragile but I have had no issues in over a year of ownership. Taken on numerous trips

  • Great price. Bought 2 years ago for $144 from bagworld. Happy with the quality.

  • Would love a good deal on the 71cm

Damn you Ozbargain! I was trying to save this month. Looks like that's not going to happen. Thanks OP.

  • Any deals on a set?

Looking to replace a 68cm and 75cm bag and add a matching cabin bag

  • Any deal on 71 cm one? I need one.

  • FYI there's a new version called 72Hrs DLX. dunno the difference between the old 72Hrs and the DLX one

    • +1

Looks like the new DLX version has two wheels per corner (eight in total), instead of the old version which has one per corner (four per corner)

  • Any deals for a bigger bag?

  • I got the Navy one last year, super! love it, will get another one for sure, highly recommend it. Was so happy with delivery as well.
