I love KZ earphones. The KZ detachable bluetooth upgrade cable has pretty crappy battery life though. It only lasts about 2 hours and aren't very good for running.

    • Thanks for sharing the experience, although 2 hours is fine for running for me though :)

What would you recommend as a cheap pair of wireless headphones for running?

      • +2

I got a pair of Mpow Cheetahs just last week. This is the first pair of headphones I've purchased for running and I have no complaints so far. Easy to use, they fit really well, won't fall out of your ears, and I think they're really comfortable. I took them for a spin in the Sydney downpour today and they seem to handle the rain with no problems at all. If you switch from some "proper" headphones to the Cheetahs within a short time span you will notice that the sound quality isn't really that fabulous, but that might be the case with most bluetooth headphones of this kind, I have no idea. Anyway, after a while you'll get used to the sound and for its purpose the headphones deliver more than well enough. Super easy to pair as well.

    • How long ago did you buy the cable? According to this post the old cable was recalled… Hopefully the 'revised' version is what they're currently selling.

  • Finally spent money on earphone.

  • damn! can get 3 of these vs 1 zs5

    • I'd rather one ZS5 any day personally, they're truly a league ahead. I'd rather sit down with them amped than my other cans, they're that good especially with good sources. With the ZS5 at ~A$22 after coupon, this is about all I'd pay for the ZS3. ZS3 is still good at this price though, for sure.

Just realised that the code was actually prepared by GearBest for coolstan here last night. That somehow didn't get posted.

    • +1

      Thanks scotty for posting this.

  • These IEM's are quite large, so not ideal for people with small ears (unless you want to wear them awkwardly). Won't find much better for this price though, bluetooth or not.

The cable should also be compatible with the ZS5 (same connector).

    • Yeh I bought these but they honestly would not stay in my ears despite trying all the sizes because the ear piece is so big. Good sound though but wasn't usable for me because of its size

      • +1

If it's mainly an issue of them falling out, foam tips like these may help. I use similar tips with my other KZ set that doesn't stay in with the stock ones.

  • Bought both items in separate orders.
Been eying off some KZ IEM's and at this price, I can't ignore it.
    Thanks scotty and coolstan.

    • Same, it will be my first time though.

  • +1

So the BT module only works for KZ earphones with detachable cables ie it's a proprietary connector?

  • Best earphones for the price. I have small ears but they fit perfectly soo..YMMV! Real talk though, how come priority line shipping is so expensive now. I paid like $2 for it when I bought my KZ ZS3 a few months back. Hate the long waits!

  • +1

Thanks I have the KZ ZS3 earphone the sound is very good for the price.

    Bought the bluetooth upgrade.

Also my Xiaomi Mi IV on the way from DHL and the $4 bluetooth earphone.

Why I need all these earphones … XD

    • same boat.

  • Diccount Code seems to work only for single item, despite REP stating limit of 3 each.

    • Did you try three separate orders

      • Not yet, but seems 😖

  • So many different types of KZ. How are these for bass? Listening to EDM and Hip Hop. Don't really like flat sound signature.

  • +1

Have had the KZ ZS3 for a few months. Bought the bluetooth upgrade module 2 weeks ago, received 2 days ago.

The bluetooth module connectors do not fit the ZS3 earpieces properly. They seem to be oversized, or the earpiece holes are too small (1-2mm off).

Packaging clearly says compatible with the ZS3 as well.

    • +1

That's weird. Perhaps they were improperly packaged (I believe there is another identical looking BT cable with a different connector), but then again, KZ's quality control isn't great.

    • Straight plug or curved plug?

    • The sockets are direction sensitive, you've got them on the right side? One side of the socket is flat and the other is curved so that you can only put the left channel into the left IEM in theory.

    • Yeah crap. Redacting my original comment. Bought the wrong Bluetooth module (ZST, not ZS3 - the curved plug).

Problem solved though, just bought a ZST and the posted ZS3 module.

KZ ZS3 and ZS5 has great following among hardcore audiophiles who are on a budget. You can buy without a thought at this superb price

  • They have good sound for the price but they're a nightmare ergonomically. I don't like mine personally.

  • How are these compared to the ED9s?

  • I have some KZ earphones that supposedly have noise cancelling but they don't seem to do any actually noise cancelling?

    Thanks scotty for posting this.
Been held up today, wanted to post tonight but alas its posted.
    All good! :)

I get this message. Seems it's not working anymore.

    • FIXED NOW!

  • expired ? not working.

    • Fixed now!

      • could we get new code please? seems expired. thanks

  • Hi OP,I have applied more stock for these two deals, could you update it with unexpired?

    • Do we have to order separately to get both?

    • I just tried. Still not working :/

      Sorry for the inconvenience.

Is it a different code as posted?

      • Have you log in first to apply it? and apply one unit per time?

        • +1

Yeah I've logged in. The bluetooth module coupon doesn't work.

        • Hey Rep I messaged you a bit earlier. Can you please PM me if you have time. Thanks!

        • Hey rep, any chance you'd be able to apply more stock for this deal? Thanks! :)

        • Sorry I didn't realise you had to do separate transactions! Working all good :)

  • Grabbed both, thanks OP!

  • KZ Bluetooth Module Upgrade Detachable Cord - Coupon coolstan2 doesn't seem to be working.

However, KZ ZS3 Detachable Design HiFi In Ear Stereo Earphones coupon - coolstan1 works.

    Thanks for stocking up.

    Edit:

    Now both coupons are working.

    Thank you.

  • Just bought em both with the coupons, sounds like a bargain!….thanks scotty and gearbest!

  • I have a pair of the ZS3s enroute, but ordered the matching bluetooth adaptor. Thanks!

  • Code is working for the bluetooth module. Just ordered one.

    • Hmmm, not working for me now. ZS3 coolstan1 works though.

EDIT Cleared my cart, made sure I clicked through from the link about to the KZ Bluetooth Module and the coupon worked. Both on their way! Thanks OP!

  • both codes working, thanks scotty and coolstan :)

  • Success with both (2 separate orders) just now, thanks Coolscotty!

  • dear store rep

can you confirm that the KZ Universal 2 Pin 0.75mm Braided Silver-plated Earphones Cord …will work with these headphones. If so can you offer a coupon code for them by any chance?

    • They will work with the ZS3 (couple of user reviews have them connected to the ZS5 which uses the same connector).

  • do you know if the code is only valid for Australian addresses only?

i am in Thailand for a while and want to get them sent here directly if possible.

    • Gearbest promotional deal I think mostly only for AUS/NZ IP.

    • Might just be IP limited. Try a VPN?

    • Did using a VPN to purchase it and send it to Thailand work for you?

  • -1

I'm honestly surprised the owner of ozbargain is posting gearbest deals after 3 pages of mostly negative feedback on the forums… It's hardly a "deal" when you have to wait 2 months for it to arrive and then have to hope it's actually genuine.

    • +1

Thank you for your honesty, but

      • people complain about everything in ozbargain forums, and in this case the number of complaints is just correlating with the number of deals posted here (which is a lot)

      • I am posting deals based on personal experience. So far I usually received items from GearBest within a month. Recently I received the Xiaomi Wireless extender in 2 weeks (although most items are between 3-4 weeks).

      • Not sure why being ozbargain's owner has anything to do with it. I don't read all the comments on this site, and again I am posting from personal experience.

      • Me too, I have no problem with gearbest because I used my office address and always have somebody there.

My Xiaomi Mi VI earphone should arrive next Tuesday by DHL.

I think some people may use home address that may be the problem.

People can only saw when somebody complaint but nobody will post on forum when they have no problem.

      • Fair points, hopefully after all the recent negative feedback, things improve when using gearbest..

        • Actually they have improved

    • You order from China and get something in a month timescale, what’s new? If you want it in a week, their priority line is pretty cheap.

      • I was more referring to multiple people receiving fake xioami products…

        • I think only happened in that instant.

  • Not sure what happened but when I applied the code 'coolstan1' the price changed from $7.99 to $10.19. Proceeding to the payment methods, the price reverted to $7.99 plus $6.18 shipping which makes it $14.17. I'm currently using a VPN since I am at Switzerland (currently I tried using an Australian shipping address and set the region/currency settings as Australia/USD), might that be the issue?

    • same

    • +1

Hey mate, I wasn't in Australia when I experienced this issue, as soon as I had a legitimate Australian IP I was able to purchase at the advertised price.

      • Hey! Yeah, I've tried for a while and when I got to an Australian IP it worked properly. Thanks for the heads-up.

  • can you use the kz bluetooth module on the KZ ZS6?

    • +1

      Yes, same for ZS3, ZS5 & ZS6.

  • Love the stuff KZ makes, definitely some of the most value for money IEMs you can get. A tip for anyone who bought it, get some memory foam tips with them! Pretty sure GearBest also sell those cheaply.

    • I somehow bought the kz bluetooth module but not realize it doesn't have earbuds with the package. any suggestion to get a matching earbuds in Gearbest? thanks

      • If you're looking for something in the $10 range, the ZS3 is really good. If you've got a budget in the $30-$50 range, have a look into the ZS5/ZS6

  • Thank you OP and all, bought one as I needed it , my bluedio cans are to tight. hope these are worth it!

  • I paid for express post and got them since I thought I lost my earphone. Now, I am trying to connect the these earpieces to wires. I can't seem to connect them, looks like they don't fit.

    • Got it. Have push really hard..

  • bluetooth module expired ? no working for me, bit late to the party

  • +2

OP! please… can we have a new code for bluetooth module?

  • received the bluetooth module today but waiting for the earbuds to arrive

  • Received both. Bluetooth module does not charge at all…

    • How did you get them so quick?
What delivery option did you tick?

  • anyone else have lag in the bluetooth module?

seems fine for music but wouldn't be able to use it with movies etc

  • +1

Received both. Cant plug in one earphone…

    • I am having the same issue as you, one earphone is relatively easy to plug in, one is impossible. Been trying for 20 minutes!

      • I tried for ages! Didn't plug in. I contacted support and they quickly shipped a replacement

        • Ok I just tried again after reading some comments and I got it in, was the right that was difficult. I basically had to line it up so it was just in, put my fingernails on either side if the rubber bit around where the cable ends and jam then in.

Unfortunately after connecting them to my z5 no sound, controls all work fine. Charging now to see if that makes a difference, in thr meantime put the standard cable in and impressed with the sound at this price. Seem to be quite a lot louder than the Xiaomi ones I picked up the week before.

        • @Jackson: ok, worked out that if I turn off the call profile in the settings for that BT connection it works, hopefully it will after a restart (edit:restart did the trick BTW). Also there is a long lag when using the controls, which kinda sucks, but I guess in my case I can use my watch for that at least.

They do sound friggin amazing for Bluetooth in ear headphones that cost 10 bucks. I am seriously in disbelief that anyone would want to pay 300 bucks more than this…

    • I had difficulty with one, used cloth to help grip each piece and got wired cable in after a few minutes. Then swapped out to bluetooth module and wasn't a challenge plugging that one in.

  • I have seen terrible lag with bluetooth module :(
the Zs3 earphone is great for the price though.

    • lag with videos ? should be ok with music ?
