      i before e except after c.

      • Hi everyone-

AWW I was going to post this on Monday when the webguy fixed up his mistake of giving 35+ % off 40gram and variety packs. Get them while you can because they are removing it soooon.

Cant wait for the new website….

Also if you want to know when we are throwing a special, got new batches of shirts or want to see us when we are out and about join us on face book.

We are going to Soundwave this year and with some luck Big Day out.

        • Just wondering if you were planning to post this on monday, why is there a big add on the website lol

  • +3

never did receive my sample from these guys..

    • +5

      Stop whining and buy some!

      • not whining, just saying. Id be more likely to buy some had i have received it though.

    • -4

me neither! where's my sample? It's been over a year now

      • +3

:-) I see you every time. email me with the subject Barts bum and I will send you some.

    • +1

neither did i and they ignored my email

  • :( i placed my order already theother day

    • +4

Hey Fedwood send me an email and I will see what I can do (might have to be a generous pack next time you order)..

  • Looks like the code works for the variety packs as well, just ordered one, will see how it goes :)

    • +1

With this discount, it's $1 cheaper to buy 6x40g seperately than the 240g variety pack.

      • +3

Are you including shipping? Without shipping its not cheaper..

100$/kilo if you do separably (6 pack variety)
79.16$/kilo if you do the variety pack (At the top)
        75$/kilo for 200 gram packs
        70$/kilo 500 gram packs
71$/kilo for 1 kg pack (dont know why? lol)

Keep in mind that the Jacks store brand jerky goes for 80$/kg (currently on special at woolies for 60$/kg), but I guess this jerky is much much much better than the store bought stuff.

And yea my prices are for pickup.. (im close to brissie) lol

        With postage:
        $100$/kg (separately select variety pack)
        $104.16/kg (premade variety pack)
        $105/kg 200 gram packets
        $82/kg 500 gram packets
        $79/KG 1 KG packets

        • Nice work !

        • when the easter show comes around you can get jacks links show bags full of beef jerky heaps cheaper than in the store and since it last so long you can stock up. i got about 20 last year.

and on the last day of the show most bags are dramatically reduced so even better bargain

        • +1

Yea but you have to realise the quality is different. Jacks jerky is so different to the jerky being sold here. Jacks one is full of perservitives/salt and are completly different.

But curious, how much does it end up costing per kg (at the show) for comparisim. Cheapest I have seen jacks jerky was for 50$ or something / kg

        • yeah i know its different but i like it and so do alot of other people in my area coz its always running out in the shop. i get proper jerky direct from a guy that makes it, and his biltong is the best he makes it without fat for me, unlike some brands who use alot of fat but jacks is one of the only others i have found with little fat in it.

well i got the show bags for $10 and it came with 8 x 25gm packs, 2 x 50gm packs and 2 bars (plus an extra free bar with coupon) but i cant remember what they were

so that alone for the jerky was 300gm for $10

        • @kwaker, Jacks Links tastes like Schmackos for dogs! I won't even buy it when I run out of Geronimo & I'm desperate!!! You should at least try Geronimo before you attempt to make a comparison.

I've tried a lot of different kinds of jerky, dried/preserved meat & biltong from around the world, none have really compared. This jerky is the best I've ever tasted, period! :)

        • Have you tried Schmackos for dogs ???

NOTE Jack's Jerky contains MSG, Geronimo doesn't…

        • @jv, let's put it this way, I'd buy Schmackos before I bought Jacks Links! :p

FWIW, I understand Joel Monaghan's dog recently tried the new peanut butter flavoured Schmackos! :o

      • I did buy the 120gm pack for $16 without considering the maths, which is unusually rash for ozbargain.

160gm bought individually costs only $2 more for the extra 40gm ($18 total).

I tip my hat to you sir.

  • hmmm.. they want your Date of Birth when registering..

    • +2

2enjoy - Nothing sinester about that it was just what the Web guy built in the memebership form he asked if we wanted dob-I thought it would be cool to have something for birthdays in the future.

      Just put zeros 000000000000000000

      • u know, just a little comment like that says alot for customer service.. and I luv good customer service.. + from me! and im looking forward to trying the taste! : )

  • Protip: double click the apply button twice.

    • What does that do?

      • Better get your web guy to fix that, Big Chief.

        • What does it do imh86?
All good..we go through all orders anyways.

        • It applies the discount multiple times, until the prices gets down to just the shipping. A literal tonne of jerky for $13? Yum.

        • Cheapest 10kgs of jerky ever lol

      • 2kg jerky for 17$.. im assuming you wont honour those so I wont even bother trying lol

    • Hehe, just tried that on the 240 gram pack. Let's see if it goes through.

I've always wanted to try this stuff but even with the 35% discount it just seemed like too much.

  • Just ordered some. Can't wait. Thanks.

  • damn it. I ordered with 20% off last week.

  • Where can I find the ingredient list for the original flavour? I'm interested to know what's in this stuff before I purchase any.

EDIT : I just found you can enlarge the images on the order page. Good to see there's none of those evil additives I've seen on other Jerky's.

  • That shiz is expensive, man.

    • Not really, if you shop around you'll find even at full price it's more than competitive with others! With 35% off it's outstanding! ;)

I recently tried some African biltong (can't remember the real name) that a deli owner told me was "the best jerky in the world bar none" - and at $128/kg wholesale you'd expect it to be too! Let me tell you, it was rather ordinary, would not even hold a candle to Geronimo jerky.

      • It can be competitive, and still be expensive…

        • Ah yes, Grasshopper…but it also can be expensive to some, yet still competitive with others!

  • Oooh yeah, my order's in…another 3.5kg of awesome jerky comin' my way, RAWR! :D

Thanks for the early heads-up too Kez, even though I got the email the other day it was still nice to have early warning! :)

Perfect timing too…I'd just finished my last 25g reserve bag from the previous 2.5kg post-ekka order! I love this stuff, and I've needed to up my quota by a kg to account for marauding friends & family…I think I need a jerky safe! ;)

  • These guys still haven't learnt. I received this special also via email. Last time I posted about this they responded saying that they had changed email providers and fixed the fact they were spamming everyone and there was no way to unsubscribe (I have now asked 5 times).

So in summary, if you want spam in your inbox forever without the option to unsubscribe….. then buy some jerky from these guys.

    • Ozbargain won't be able to fix that for you…

If you can be bothered, you can lodge a complaint here…

      http://www.acma.gov.au/interforms/spam_complaint_email.asp

    • My emails have an 'unsubscribe' link on them! Do yours, have you tried it?

As jv said, spamming OzB yourself with the same comment on every Geronimo post won't get the job done, have you tried contacting them directly?

      • Yepp, contacted them directly. But no action taken as yet. Your right, posting here isn't going to fix the problem but it will warn others that they will be spammed forever should they use Geronimo Jerky. Thats what the feedback portion is for right?

I have tried the unsubscribe option that finally appeared on the last email. However having asked to be removed previously and getting no outcome, I doubt Geronimo Jerky will comply this time….

I've made an official complaint. Hopefully this will be the end of it. I shouldn't have to go to the trouble though. I never gave permission for my email to be used for marketing, nor did I give permission for them to give my email address to the emailing companies they use (latest one is overseas too).

        • So how many emails a month do you get from them?

        • -1

I know this is an old post but came across it-I have never received an email or unsubscribe from you-Frankly I dont want anyone unhappy when it comes to email deals.

It would have been nice if you had problems unsubscribing to actually contact us but I guess its easier to report a small company then try to assist.

Sorry you didnt get your free sample.

Has anyone worked out how to change your delivery address on their website ????

    • Yeah, last time I ordered, it was sent to my old address — despite my PayPal address being up to date! I had to get it redirected, which is costly.

This time when I got the order confirmation, I sent them an email requesting a change of address, and they've not bothered to respond.

      • i had exactly the same thing happen to me…

i sent them an email right away, but haven't heard back yet…

(I wonder if you can get Paypal to reverse the transaction if they deliver to the wrong address ???)

        • As an interim measure, you can put a special note on your order via the Paypal system!

They've always read & acted upon any notes I've left there! ;)

@jv, have you tried emailing Big Chief with your order/paypal id? I do recall him saying once that every order is reviewed by hand, so as it's not automated you're in with a good shot if you get onto them soon! ;)

        • +1

Well that's a bit late now… You only realise there is a problem AFTER submitting the Paypal payment and the Geronimo Website then appears with you previous address… :S

The Geronimo website at no stage prompts you for a delivery address, and there appears to be no way to change it from your account… The Paypal transaction correctly states the current Delivery Address, but the Geronimo website ignores this and uses your last address…

@StewBalls, yes, i've emailed twice but have not had a reply…

edit: they got my email… :)

        • yes, as well as [email protected]

to cover all my bases… :)

Anyway, as i posted above, i eventually got a reply, but still not sure how to prevent this from happening again when you need a different delivery address…
You should be able to specify this BEFORE finalising the order, not try and follow up with emails later…

Has anyone received their's yet? I still haven't even got the dispatch email for tracking… :S

    • +1

There's supposed to be a dispatch email? I haven't received a single thing since Nov 7 other than the order number.

      • i always received one in the past, with a tracking number… usually 2 days after the order…

so you are still waiting to receive your order made over 2 weeks ago ???

        • Yeah I've been waiting since Nov7 when I made the order (first time with them), if I'm supposed to receive a tracking email then I haven't yet.

Cheers for letting me know though, I'll email them about that.

        • i already emailed them a couple of hours ago and haven't heard back yet…

the dispatch email was sent by [email protected] in the past…

          Dear Customer,

Your parcel (1) from Geronimo Jerky has been despatched with Australia Post.

This consignment can be viewed or you can choose to receive tracking emails by clicking on this link

          http://auspost.com.au/track/track.html?id=LR99999999&email=x…

Please allow approx 24 hours before checking the website.

          Regards,

          Geronimo Jerky

        • Finally got the email…

It took a week to dispatch ???

        • Cool stuff, hopefully mine won't be too far off.
Meanwhile, Jim's Biltong will have to do to satiate my immediate jerky needs.

        • +2

I am really annoyed with Geronimo.

They delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS

I specified my delivery address correctly in my order… When the order confirmation arrived minutes later, it had my previous delivery address. I emailed them immediately to let them know it was the wrong address and they replied later that day that the put the correct delivery address on the order…

HOWEVER, the didn't. It finally arrived and my old address, and on top of it all, they spelled the street name incorrectly… I'm surprised that it even arrived at the old address correctly…

Seems like they have a lot of work to do around their distribution processes….

I like the jerky, but all this effort just to get it delivered correctly is not worth it…

          NOT HAPPY :(

        • Sorry to hear that jv, hopefully another email will fix future orders to the right address.

Geronimo have investigated my case and apparently the package was lost due to AusPost.
They sent out a new pack via eparcel with extra compensation jerky (it almost sounds suss) and it arrived overnight [Brisbane].

Have to say I'm very happy with how they handled things, and by golly it's the best beefy jerky I've ever tasted too! I'll buy some again for sure

        • yep, it's apparently been fixed in the new website…

during your next order, you will be asked to re-register your details…
once done, you will then be able to edit your billing address, and add a different shipping address…

          :)
