Lol! Just like chucking a handicapped friend to the sharks to earn $50…

      Link to this deal?

Help your friend in a financial crisis out by helping them spend more with a gift card. If you are feeling festive you could also help your alcoholic friend out by giving them a Dan Murphy's gift card.

I know someone who is in hardship over a $140 credit card, can you help?

Do Not Claim "Hardship" for Credit Cards

  • Is this company offering relief through Part IX debt agreements?

    • Probably and charge an arm and a leg for the process or how else they can dish out gift cards like candies.

  • This does not seem like a deal to me, more like advertising. Tempted to neg.

I'll find a pizza deal you can go nuts over :)

There are consequences to entering into a Part IX Debt Agreement:

Including being listed on the National Personal Insolvency Index.

Oh god. No, no, no. This industry has a pretty horrible reputation and now they're bribing you to hook a friend with the promise of a 'free' gift certificate? A friend already bankrupt? (insolvency is a requirement for this)

Come here friend, I know you're starving. Here's a breadcrumb, and this cult have much more food to help with your hunger where that came from…

ABC and many other have covered this. ASIC have warnings posted: http://asic.gov.au/about-asic/media-centre/find-a-media-rele…

Fees are hidden, contracts are severe and onerous. This can help some people but be VERY careful.

  • so what are all the fees/costs associated compared to other companies that makes this a deal?

for example. $50 off something thats $500 more expensive than other companies is not a deal

Negging due to major issue with vendor. In their line of business, they are entirely aware this statement …

DCS will get your mate out of debt …

… is a promise which cannot always be kept merely by satisfying the eligibility criteria disclosed in Associated OP's description. Furthermore this is the most distasteful post I have ever seen on OzBargain and I sincerely hope it is removed soon.
