7th gen and only 8gb of ram?

    Yea no thx.

No ssd either. Metabox is offering better value for money.

  • Still this thick for a new laptop in 2017?
    We need more Max Q

  • The CPU is outperformed by the new 8th gen ultralow voltage i5 (which is quad core), and this has no SSD. The only thing is a good graphics card, but there are better options available on Amazon.com for significantly less.

Point taken (against i5-8250U). However, with U processors, laptop vendors are aiming at thin and light - even with lower TDP and frequency, actual implementation may cause throttling early and subsequent performance goes out the window.

  • it should not call gaming, 4k ready instead

  • Starting at 3.2 kg apparently. This is one heavy laptop

  • Many things a bit lacking in this laptop..heavy, non i7-7700HQ cpu unlike in the Acer Predator Helios 300 from Amazon, 8gb ram, no SSD.. only thing good is maybe local warranty.

I wouldn't pay more than $1200 AUD for this.

    • Less than $1200 for a laptop with GTX 1060? Don't think i've seen any.
