Was $1650 recently. Good Guys as well. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/335741

Waiting for it to dip below $1600.

Serious? I thought it had some great reviews from OZB members here.

It is good. Hisense is the best of the budget brands IMO. Far better than kogan & soniq etc etc. + 3 year warranty shows they have some sort of faith in their products.

Only thing I agree with him on is the smart features aka the UI. It may depend on the model but mine is pretty laggy too, not unusable though. This may be fixed with newer models? Not sure.

Regardless, I don't even use the smart features of my tv since I have an external android media player. 10x better than what any "smart" tv can do.

Based on what model? I’ve got the inferior 6 series, and the UI is very fluid, am yet to see it hang or freeze. 4K quality is very good to my eye, as is HDR. My only complaint would be the grey uniformity, which I kind of expected with a cheaper LCD. Blacks are excellent for LCD. I paid $630 for a 43 inch 4K HDR10 wth 3 year warranty. No complaints about the brand so far.

The 7 series is kind of building a legendary reputation for quality/value.

got a 75M7000UWD, pic is awesome and the integrated Netflix works seamlessly. Only gripe is that it doesnt play videos from where it left off and have to manually forward if i want to continue my movie (is there a fix for that?)

      • +1

Not sure how that works but my hisense 55M7000UWG 55" starts from where I left and have had no issues at all.
The integrated netflix and youtube work flawless ly and I have never experienced any lag at all.

        • oh! For movies playing from usb / hard drive? Hmm… not sure why mine doesnt :(

  • Do you think we will see the n7 drop below 1650 soon? Interested to buy either, the 65 n6 is 1400 delivered. I thought this was pretty good?

Have the TV. Great quality imo

  • Bought a TCL 65C2US for 1160 delivered inc cashback which for the $$ I think is a better buy

  • Excellent TV in terms of picture quality for the money. Less so in terms of sound unfortunately and we had some issues with getting HDMI-CEC to work properly with our sound system. Bing Lee was great in terms of managing a return and an exchange for a Sony X9000E which has been flawless.

If you want a system with a quick response (in terms of channel changing) and good picture but can deal with some of the quirks.. this is an amazing price. It was ~$2800ish in only June this year.. hard to believe it's dropped more than $1K in less than 5 months!

  • idk man, TGG seem very anti-consumer with their ebay store. they deliberately jack up their prices whenever there's a 20% discount. Even though ebay is paying for the 20%. not like they're losing anything out of their pocket…
they jacked up the LG 55C7 to $3200 in anticipation of this deal even though the actual price is $2800-2980 elsewhere.

  • I have one and had to have the main board replaced after a few weeks.
It's mostly pretty good, though there's an issue with the "ultra smooth motion". If you turn it off, next time the TV turns on the "ultra smooth motion" turns back on, even though it says it's off in the menu.
The Hisense helpdesk acknowledged it's a known issue and said to wait a month or so for a firmware update.
We'll see how it is after that…
