    I want to book for late November which is in a few weeks time, I know it is too late for good prices. Unless someone can find me cheap flights please :)
    I'll probably use my qff points and book business class

      If you're going to book with points, then there's no "good prices". Reward seating doesn't change in point value regardless of when you book. A quick check on flights from MEL, SYD & BNE shows that there's availability on some flights on those days. You should be booking them ASAP

        I am happy to book with cash if I can find it at good prices, however because it is very late it is difficult to find.

      I lived in Tokyo for the last 2 years and did not see this at all

      Osaka and Kyoto are great cities but Tokyo has loads to offer as well and if you want to escape the big city there are many day trips to amazing countryside, temples, onsens, hikes etc…

      If only Japan had some high speed network so you could land in Tokyo and be whisked down to Osaka or Kyoto in no time at all….

          That's what rail passes are for. One return trip to Tokyo and you have covered the cost of travel. Some nice side trips to Himeji, Hiroshima, Kobe and the like and you're laughing.

    I was about to kick myself for buying JAL tickets for $1050 yesterday but the dates didn't align so don't feel as bad now lol..

    FYI - anyone interested in Syd - Tokyo (March 24 - April 1/2), check out the JAL website.

    They have direct flights to Narita for under $1100. Not a bargain though not too bad for a direct flight for peak season.

      Yeah, my dates are even worse. I've found 3 sales already, and they all excluded the 2 weeks dates I wanna go on -_- Gave up and just bought the cheapest I could find.
