Aus stock here for $40 more, only 1 left though.

    • Are you sure its Aus stock - "Stock is sourced from around the world according to quality, value and availability and sent from our warehouses in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and USA direct to the end user through fast and reliable courier services that offer live tracking".

It’s aus stock, that disclaimer is just an overall description for all their products.

  • Well we have made it under $1000.

It was supposed to be my buy in price, but I seriously wonder who is still dropping this kind of cash on a phone after the initial 'hype rush'.

It could drop another 100-200 fairly quickly…

It's a cheap investment per hour of use for most people these days. After a bed they are probably the most used item.
And when you factor in resale it's not bad, an S7 still sells at pawn for $400 so under $1 a day to own since its release sales. Some unsellable noname midrange would have lost just as much.

      • I agree the investment is justified, but the rate the prices have been marketed up by the big names over the last few years is ridiculous based on the actual hardware… It's all marketing and due to the way mobiles are purchased, usually in a lock in contract people don't even question it just blindly sign up to the next phone, each year they just plonk on another $200 RRP.

My previous Note died, So I got a $200 replacement to tide me over until Note8, you realise how much value there is in these 200-500 phones.

I am still a Samsung fanboi don't get me wrong its just a general analysis of how we humans work.

Rep can you confirm if this is the N950FD or N9500 model ?

    • +2

      It's N950FD for 64GB model

      • Thanks.

        • Cool. Can still run the XSA Australian ROM on these for VoLTE / VoWiFi.

      • Isnt N950FD a duel sim model? Also incase of a warranty claim, who will be servicing the product in australia?

        • D in N950FD stands for dual sim

  • If you have 3 AMEX cards, buy from Harvey Norman for $1,383 and get back $300

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-galaxy-note8-gold.ht…

Or buy from Bexectech for $1039 - they have somewhat good reviews

    https://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/samnote8dual64gbgry-ins…

    • plus $74.95 shipping for bex'

    • How do you pay with three separate Amex cards?

      • If you had three Amex cards and all of these cards were enrolled in the offer then while paying the bill split it 3 ways and pay by Amex.

        • had a quick look online and didn't see it - is this in store only?

        • @ranma: yes split payment only works instore.

  • cheaper at vaya

Does anyone know if Customs or Import Duties apply to this, since actual price is above $1000?

    • This.

    • +1

Yeh unless the rep declares the item value as under 1000 dollar. I don't see how we're not gonna be charged tax.
      :/

    • +3

Rep confirmed in PM to me that the discounted price will be declared so no worries about tax

      • That's tempting, makes me want to cancel my iX preorder for a note8. I do like to doodle. 🤔

  • what are the chances of getting a sealed and unopened unit?

  • never had great quality and then return experiences with shopping square.. not the worst but get feeling they don't sell the most perfect of new retail items….
