Cheers OP! - managed to pick up the last 2x at Kingsway.

One of them didn't have a remote so they even knocked another $30 off.

I picked two up from ringwood and after lots of haggling, they dropped the one on display down to $255 just to get me out of the store

Didn't need two but at that price, I'll put it next to my xiaomi umbrella.

      • Nice I think I need you for my purchase here in Katoomba lol.

  • Thanks for this post, grabbed the last one at Runaway Bay, QLD

    • +3

      Did you… Runaway with it?

      • The Bay did

  • FYI no stock at Big W Menai NSW.

Anyone know what the stock levels are like around Brisbane QLD please? Tried to phone 3 stores so far but no reply.

    • Booval Ipswich had the display model an hour ago

      • Ah ok cool, thanks Jesse16246. I think I'll try my luck with the Aldi one as I'm happy to pay extra for the bigger size tv!

  • Anyone know stock levels around Perth stores? Can't reach phone atm.

  • Very good price.. pity no delivery.

  • No stock in Bendigo

  • Just got last one from highpoint

DO NOT RECOMMEND I bought this at the start of the year. lasted a week before having overheating issues turning off after only 45 minutes at a time. needed to let it cool for atleast 15-30 mins before watching again. Returned it straight away with no box for a full refund, bought a LG instead.

That being said it had pretty low input lag so good for games I guess assuming it doesn't kill itself.

    • Can you confirm or deny chroma subsampling 4:4:4 for pc monitor usage?

      • didn't have it for long enough to check all features sorry

        • Np all good thanks for replying.

I’ve got the 55” from last deal. I love it! I’m not a tv expert but for me is perfect. I added a speaker, as built is low. Very happy :)

    • How much was it?

      • $420. About 2 years ago also bought a dicksmith led 47.5 inch for about $320. They are very similar. Remote on Viano is better though.

    • How did you connect it? Using the 3.5mm? I also bought the 55" last deal and enjoy it, and like you've identified, the speakers are really terrible (even by TV standards) hence trying to figure out what I can do about it since I thought most soundbars require better audio out connections from the TV…

      • +1

        Yes via 3.5mm

  • Thanks for this. None of the specs seem to indicate whether it's got inbuilt wifi or not?
    Can anyone let me know?
Gets either great or shocking reviews but worth a punt for the mother in law I think.

    • Unlikely it's not a smart tv

    • Not many Ozbargainers would pay an extra $200-$500 extra for brand-locked non-changeable "smarts" that can be replaced easily with an openly configurable and upgradeable $40-$120 TV box, and blasted out of the park with a $250 Elite 8300 plus a half-height GTX card…

  • Thanks op, got one for dad.

  • none left at Frankston, VIC

Bought one from Mount Ommaney. Still had a couple left. Cheers!

  • I bought one from big w ballarat and also picked up a copy of cod WWII for $64 eb games wanted $99. Games look quite good on this tv I haven't mucked around with the settings yet but for the cheap price its quite a bargain.

    • Any more left there?

      • I don't know best to phone the store.

  • Can anyone please confirm if it has Optical Input? I've tried searching for the manual but can't find it.

    • input? highly unlikely. output though, perhaps.

    • No optical it has coaxial output, audio r/l in and earphone jack.

Can anyone confirm or deny that this has chroma subsampling 4:4:4 for htpc or pc monitor usage so text doesn't become blurry on it?

  • Amazing… I paid $1200 for my 50-inch plasma 8 years ago.

TVs are certainly unique in having become so cheap in this era of high living costs.

    • Paid a similar amount for my Panasonic 42 inch fhd plasma this cheap lcd is a lot better in our sun lit lounge room.

  • Picked one up, was their last one - wasn't on display either they had to go searching for it.

  • Does it support 4k at 60hz?

    • It appears to - the xbox one x is running on it @ 4k 60Hz.

  • Got the last one from Cumberland Park SA

  • Anyone in SA after one? I may have 1 I might not collect.

    • yes I'm interested depending on what suburb and when has to be collected?

      • It'll be at Arndale. Prob picked up tonight cos they usually don't hold more than 24 hours

        • If u want it, pm me. Going to pick one of the 2 up now

    • If it's either the Marion or Arndale stores, and saurs82 above can't get to those stores, then I am interested. Let's know.

  • Anyone know if this has component input??

    • It's sitting in my car. I'll confirm when I knock off in a couple hours. Just remind me.

    • Yes it has component.

  • +1

Anyone know if this has HDMI-CEC (can HDMI devices turn the TV on)?

    • There are options for it in the menu so I assume so..

    • Based on my 55" Viano, it's somewhat inconsistent compared to my Sharp TV whereby the HDMI devices can change inputs/etc. (eg. my Pioneer AV receiver, my Nintendo Switch, PS4, etc). Maybe it's disabled even though it's enabled :S

Bought two from Mt Omneny. They had two left in pretty sure. Thanks op.

  • Managed to snag one, had to take it back today. When the screen got dark you could see lines on the screen. Which I assume has something to do with the back light. Most likely was only my set, as I'm pretty sure a lot more people would be commenting everywhere on this issue. Either way, it was the only one there, not worth the effort. Will wait until a bit later and spend some proper money on a higher quality brand.

  • Picked the display model up @ Newcastle West. Thanks OP.

"Apologies for the inconvenience, but this item is out of stock online. "

    • Did you even read the OP? First 2 words in the description.

      Instore only.

      • Not until after I commented (and hooray I can't delete my comment)

I checked local stock after I posted. They claimed they didn't sell them. No idea if all stores had these or if the person saying so was mistaken? I didn't get one so :(

        • All stores would have but this item was discontinued so it was on clearance. I picked up the last one at my local which was the display model

  • Got two from Kwinana, WA store this morning. At the time they had one more left in stock.

  • In my view department stores are notorious for advertising genuinely good specials but only having enough stock for the first few minutes (or hours) of the sale.

At least online stores like Gearbest usually advise in advance how many pieces they are selling at the special price.

    • +1

Don't think that's the case here. This is a discontinued line so they have a clearance sale. Because it's discontinued they haven't maintained stock levels, so they are low in stock. In store purchase only so stock levels aren't up to date on website, and obviously differ between stores.

I called my local store today, after this deal had been posted on OzB for a day and there were 3 left. It took a LOT of time on the phone to find out if they had any in stock because they were all stored out the back, ready to return to wherever they return old stock to. The only reason I had relatively fast success was that someone (probably from here) called them yesterday looking for stock so I happened to eventually get put through to the person who dealt with that yesterday and she knew where they were kept out the back, to see if there were any left. Oh, and also the kind person who posted the key code to relay to the Big W staff.

There weren't any out on the floor with big signs, there was nothing. There was a 40" model displayed for sale for (I think) the same price. I think there was also a 49" not on sale for $650-ish. I know there was still one left at my local shop at lunch time today.

Definitely wasn't well promoted to get people in store, and it definitely lasted at least a day.

  • No more stock anywhere in a 60,km radius from Katoomba just checked every store.

most still have the 48" and 55" though going for about $599

    • Ozbargained 3 weeks ago unfortunately

      • Yeah was late to the bargain and was hoping for any refunds or returns or possibly new stock.

Just wanted to confirm for myself and others.

        Cheers thanks Gearup.
